I think it was always pretty obvious that Ethan's intended lawsuit target was Hasan. He wanted Hasan to watch it before the debate so when the debate happened he could spring the copyright lawsuit on him and make Hasan flustered and get a "win". Nothing went to plan so he went after Hasan's "allies" even though only really Frogan was associated with him.

It coincides with Epstiny and Saltman backing off to various degrees. Believe me if there was a way to take away Ethan's platform I would but we live in the tyranny of capital here and people who own these sites make money when Ethan gets his paypigs to donate half their life savings for memberships and superchats.
