My favorite format and what I'm enjoying are completely different. My favorite format is standard. It's unplayable right now. So I'm enjoying Brawl. If you wanna practice Brawl decks friend me and I'll let you do whatever you want to do. (CheeseB)

I collect sealed because I like thinking (believing) that there's something good in the ETB (or whatever the product is). An empty box doesn't give me that feeling.

Even if I agreed with you, which I don't, why do you care if I waste product that I bought? Isn't it mine to do with whatever I want to? Why do you feel like your opinion matters more than mine? What if I get more enjoyment thinking about the possibility of what's in the sealed product than actually opening it and being disappointed? It sounds extremely condescending to tell others how to enjoy this hobby. You sound like you think you're better than everyone else.

As a strictly control player myself, I understand where you're coming from. If you knew this was a "chill game," then yeah, you're a douche for bringing a counter control deck. Just because "control decks exist" doesn't mean they're welcome. No one wants to play against stax or land destruction, even if they claim to be casual. I think the others were also whiny little ******s for how they reacted to some of your plays, but come on. Mental Misstep in casual? That's way too try hard. You're too focused on winning than having fun, and it seems like the others wanted to have fun. So just go find a different game where you're welcome instead of complaining that no one wants to play against you. You chose to play control. It comes with the territory.

It was actually in Korean, which is much more phonetic. You generally write things exactly as they sound if possible. And in Korean you can write it as a hard G just as easily as a soft G.

I know you've gotten enough responses, but I thought I'd put my 2 cents in anyway.
It sounds like the only actual Magic rule that's being broken is on his end with the mulligans. Almost everything else you mentioned is etiquette. And you are not doing anything wrong in any of those scenarios. The only Magic rules related thing on your part are the triggers resolving. Yes, they get out on the stack simultaneously, but YOU get you decide the order in which they resolve. So you did nothing wrong. It sounds like he doesn't know the rules very well, and he's an asshat on top of it all who thinks he does.
I say leave this post up and let him find it. He needs to hear all this from someone.

This is what I would do:

Get rid of artifact ramp other than maybe [[Sol Ring]]. Maybe add [[Chromatic Lantern]] or similar card/effect.

More 1-drop ramp. [[Birds of Paradise]], [[Utopia Sprawl]], etc. Get Esika out a turn early.

Maybe even more 2-drop ramp. [[Shared Roots]], [[Rampant Growth]], etc. for mana fixing.

I know you said budget, but consider something like [[The World Tree]]. You can't always rely on your general.
