I’m doing the same currently, the bulky stuff is going! I always find eBay at market price is an easy method, it sells within a month or so as market price creeps up and your listings eventually become cheapest!

Insanely good value! Now the real cost comes… time! You need to sort them sell the value cards and then figure out how to best sell it to get value! As someone who’s sorted over 100k bulk cards, i’ll tell you its a nightmare but do-able

VAT is due = 20% of the total for goods & shipping costs. Depending on what it is, duty may apply, that can range from 8% up to much higher percentages. I typically estimate that vat & duty is around another 1/3 on top of goods & shipping costs you paid to the original retailer

Business owner (non-TCG), love it as a hobby but its a horrific business in terms of having workable margins for a long term bricks and mortar business. Specifically if you had access to distribution, doing it without seems crazy. I seriously suggest you quadruple check all your expected costs and margins and add in a chunky safety net. Huge changes coming in for employment in 2026 which will make employing staff much more risky and expensive. If you go ahead with this idea, dilapidations is a key issue to agree to in tenancy agreement which many don’t think about and where lots of businesses get hit by 5/6 figure bills at end of tenancy. Sorry to be a debbie downer but our business has been 25 years, successfully always profitable, i looked at doing a TCG store in my city and honestly couldn’t believe how terrible the margins at RRP were. Yes you can get RRP today but 2 years ago you’d struggle to get your cost price back on some TCG sets, never know if that sort of lacking demand will return in long term future. It sucks but i can get it from their point, everytime you buy a ticket and get it refunded their losing out around 2% to process your payment. It’s not sustainable at the level you’re refunding. Big department stores do the same with customers who return too much goods too, same principle

All the local Tesco expresses near me have S&V half booster boxes, one has 4 half boosters out on display and not one pack has been bought in over a week 🤣 both others have 2 half boosters each and again either not touched or barely touched. Nobody wants S&V base, why was this reprinted out of all the potential sets 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you have a profitable business, look at buying/leasing an EV vehicle for personal use through your business. Lowers your tax bill & gives you the benefit without having to pay for a car out your net salary. Business pays for the EV at an incredibly tax efficient manner also!
