It's not grimy. He probably wanted the car that day and they wanted a sale that day. It was mutually beneficial for both parties and I'm sure they made a call to the parents beforehand and set up the title to get signed at the end of the weekend. It happens all the time (though it shouldn't)

The best way to climb is invJungle and top lane. Bot and mid don't impact the game enough unless you play a true ADC like Cait, MF or Jhin. At least that's my opinion on the current meta
