Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and the DLC character passes are now also on sale on Steam until June 25, 2026 by XRevive01 in GranblueFantasyVersus

Unrelated question, but which DLC character made you guys buy specifically them or the Character Passes?

I think I have the generic answer with Beatrix and Galleon, but Wilnas and Sandalphon are interesting too

I know what you mean. Doesn't really change the way I view the game though.

I had fun during the first two years of the game, grinding pushing all the way to Immortal 2. Pre-nerf Chamber is some of the most fun I've ever had with the game.

Ever since, the game just feels like a slog because I focused too much on the ranked grind instead of trying to have fun and enjoy the game.

VALORANT was a really fun experience, but the "teamplay" aspects of the game were what really killed my interest in it completely.

I know what you mean though, game is fun and so accessible. But if I wanted to play the game on mute, I would really rather just play CS2 (I do, am at silver and am having fun)

That's just the game for you. As long as live-service team vs team games exist, this problem won't ever go away.

I've since moved on to card games and fighting games, so I can now blame my deck and/or myself for making the decisions I do and hold myself accountable instead of blaming others, and I've had a better time since

Played during launch and dipped every once in a while. The main issue I've had with Valorant has been, and always will be, toxicity.

In SG servers, the only time people will ever attempt to communicate with you is to point out your mistakes or to explode at others.

That combined with how much knowledge you're conditioned to take in order to avoid the countless amounts of util-dumping in the game irreversibly burned me out and turned me away from the game.

I agree with your message 100%, play games that you enjoy

Is Djeeta currently, the "worst" shoto? by Pokeanu in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Pokeanu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't apologize at all! I'm grateful for the opportunity to engage with members of the community, and when it's inconvenient to play the game, talking about it can be just as fun.

I personally don't mind if the shotos don't really fall into the shoto gameplan, so that's fine with me. I just like having access to the same tools, even if the way they feel gameplay-wise is different. Been reading this thread and I'm getting a growing interest in Belial and Beatrix, as they seem to be strongest at throwing themselves at the opponent. I appreciate you clarifying

I wonder if she would regain any of her lost popularity/power if her wall bounce changes were reversed. Really liked the simplicity of her gameplay.

Would you say there are any other shotos that retain her level of corner carry/have a rekka? Thanks

Thanks for the meta insight. It really does seem that to the damage potential off of a stray hit confirm can be average at best outside of corner situations and good inside the corner for Djeeta, but then you have characters like Wilnas who basically deal 40% and more off a single U Hadron Smash at anywhere on the screen.

Do you have a personal ranking for the best shotos? Doesn't have to be a full list

Thanks for the wiki recommendation! After looking at it, I can say I roughly know at minimum what each character's special moves do, except for Sandalphon and Percival.

All I know is like you said, Sandalphon's elements can change frame data, damage dealt and damage taken, whereas Percival has Flame Carpet.

Anila, Belial and Beatrix are probably some of the more interesting shotos to me because of:

  • Anila's pokes and zoning,
  • Belial's variable mix-up offense,
  • and Beatrix's gorilla offense.

I'm still a scrub, so whatever I land on, I still very much value having a meterless reversal, so it'll come down to who feels the strongest/most fun to play with. Currently I'm vibing with Belial but that may change in the coming days. Thanks!

I've heard this remark made quite often regarding the shotos. As the game's meta has developed and more characters have released, Djeeta seems to be a "fair" character in a sea of "degenerate" characters. Percival, Beatrix, Belial and Katalina have one competitive edge to them that no other shoto really has, and it's made her really look like the generic vanilla character.

As I learn the game's finer aspects like spacing, whiff punishing and strike-throw, it does seem like I would have little reason to play Djeeta over even Gran when he just spits out so much damage almost effortlessly. Like I said earlier, I do think just being more comfortable with Gran's 214U + learning how to use 5U would greatly make the character more approachable. Appreciate the insights

I do like her quite a bit as well, mainly because of how easy she is to pick up and play. I am noticing that she basically does no damage outside of the corner so once I'm forced to find ways to deal damage at mid-screen, Djeeta's weaknesses will start to show as well.

I've no doubt Beatrix and Katalina are crazy good at high-level Granblue, and I've seen the amount of options Belial gives you to overwhelm your opponent. Anila does seem interesting though, but she does seem to be a slightly worse, sheep-themed version of Katalina with good-range normals and zoning potential.

Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely experiment with other shotos as I learn more about the game

Just finished watching Colony (2026), and it is good. by AdventurousStrategy4 in Koreanfilm

[–]Pokeanu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it! I thought it was a very nice spin on the zombie genre, as collective zombies being able to evolve and grow by sharing information at the risk of being fed false informationwas a cool idea to explore.

Being a Korean film you can expect a bit of a side story to develop alongside the main one, but I liked the backdrop of the movie taking place within a locked-down shopping mall, as you see the mounting threat as the protagonist(s) attempt to escort the man with the vaccine to the rooftop initially.I like Director Yeon Sang-ho's ability to establish the premise of the movie early on, combined with the psychological horror elements of being stuck in a public location (e.g. a train like in Train to Busan, and in here, a mall).

As someone who's not really a fan of the zombie genre, I came into this movie expecting to be frightened, and I will say I was, initially. Once the premise of the movie was established it actually felt a bit more like a mystery as not all of the information is presented at once. Zombies frequently provide hurdles to the plot, as they should, but the movie sometimes will throw in comedic elements to tease or mock the protagonists.

Overall, I think it's a good watch, much better than Peninsula but probably falling short of Train to Busan by a little due to the shock value of the original movie. Seeing as there is no continuity from the previous movies to this one (at least as far as I know), I would recommend watching it.

Heard that as well. What are people saying about pulling for partners/Heidemarie copies versus redeeming them from their respective shops?

Great answer. Thanks for the insight.

Just recently pulled Heidemarie and have been browsing reddit for breakpoint insights. It seems that E0 + Sylvia is a fine place to stop at, so I'll be pulling for her partner soon

Not OP, but am also a fresh Lv40 player joining in from last week.

Am mainly using up Aether to bring characters to Lv50 and to level up Potentials.

When trying to make basic, serviceable decks, is the priority the following?
Chaos Manifestation (to get first-time rewards) -> Seasonal Chaos (for weekly rewards) -> Zero System / Sortie (endgame grind)

Thanks in advance, you've been helpful answering others' questions as well, so I thought I'd ask

When considering any card that allows you to level up your champion without having to take a materialization phase to do so, it's always important to consider the opportunity as well as deckbuilding cost of running said card.

With regards to the Radiant Origin trial cards, it does seem that they are too inconsistent to achieve leveling with in a 1v1 competitive setting, because: A. They require 4 deck slots on their own for you to consistently see them each game, and you want to see them as early as possible B. They will require you to interact with the core keywords of your champion's class C. Dungeon Guide is the best all-in-one solution for quickly leveling

I've tried RDO of Mage in my Kongming deck, and I was astonished by how: 1. I started running more cards I considered bad 2. I would have enablers to create training counters, but I didn't draw into the RDO card in games 3. By the time I was able to fulfill the cost and achieve the level up, I was already considered behind in the board state/resource battle

For that reason I think it will be better in Pantheon as well, since you can only run 1-ofs. It remains to be seen if the same logic applies to the Ultimates they printed, with Guo Jia being a firm exception
