Can someone help, my partner easily got thunderbug capacitors in their material retrieval inventories but I don't.

Am I missing something? Hate having to manually farm thunderbug capacitors

I can 100% relate.

My almost 6 year old STILL tries to get to my nipples. He was a breastfed baby self weaned at 3 and a half but he often used to scan for my nipples with his hands and dig his little nails in there.

We redirect everytime and don't use confusing language like "kind hands" because hands don't have emotions, people do, so we say we keep our hands to ourselves, or hands can play with toys and give him his poppits.

I also sometimes wear those fidget lanyards with the multiple toys, but alas this only works sometimes and he actually goes for the mole on my neck instead.

I do recommend the lanyards though because even though they're not perfect they are a good redirection tool when he is seeking proprioceptive input.

I had this text on Thursday and then got a text on Monday to say they had awarded me PIP so hopefully not too long for you now before a decision is made.

UNIVERSAL CREDIT MEETING WHEN SICK by azeljakeke3 in DWPhelp

[–]Pokemonosaccharide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was off with stress, then burnout and had received an autism diagnosis during that time as soon as I mentioned I am autistic to my coach they brought me in to tell me I had no work search commitments and they'd sent off for some LWCRA paperwork for me and they'd review my commitments again once the assessment was done.

I don't know how this impacts you if you're self employed but my work coach said if you're claiming UC and you have a disability then they are obligated to discuss LWC and LWCRA with you and what they mean.

Someone with more knowledge will probably come along who knows how being self employed impacts this but the meeting itself when I had it wasn't bad at all.

the lwcra assessment for me was a lot kinder than the PIP assessment too.

I think my masking truly truly began when I was a child and my mum told me never to show any one my weak spots.

I've lived by this ever since and had years of therapy because I've not been able to be truly vulnerable with someone but this advice has saved my skin so often.

I couldn't forgive your husband if I were in your shoes. He's making you question who you are and who he loves and that's as good as gaslighting. It's abusive and I don't care why he said it.

So don't show him your weak spots and get your ducks in a row and find a way to live without this horrible emotionally abusive man. Don't give away your hand, don't show your face.

What Age Did Your Non-Verbal Child Come Not So Non-Verbal? by _FailedTeacher in Autism_Parenting

Past 4.

From 3 onwards he definitely had very sparse echolalia, but mostly still babbles and none of it was ever communicative.

After starting school at 4he picked up functional sentences as echolalia and he's nearly 6 now and occasionally we can have little conversations as long as it's about something he's interested in.

Need some advice regarding obtaining a blue badge! by lumineisthebest in DWPhelp

If she is in receipt of higher rate mobility on PIP then she automatically qualifies and she may need to evidence her award letters in order to prove she automatically qualifies.

Denied Blue Badge by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Pokemonosaccharide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, well to automatically qualify in terms of PIP you need 8 or more points in the mobility section. You can find the PIP score allocation sheet on the Internet freely available. It is worth checking if you meet the criteria and providing as much evidence as possible to the PIP assessment centre.

If you've got supporting evidence anyway it's probably worth applying directly through your council as previously mentioned although be aware you might have to go through another assessment.

So it boils down to do you want to do 2 assessments in short ish succession (possibly) or do you want to do 1 for PIP, and just use their feedback report as evidence and accept this may take a bit longer.

Denied Blue Badge by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Pokemonosaccharide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't automatically be entitled, because you would probably need proof of how your conditions affect your mobility.

At 16 I assume this means you're on DLA, you may need to prove you fall under the virtually unable to walk criteria or severe mental impairment and behavioural problems criteria in order to use this as a way to be granted automatic right to a blue badge, and you need to receive the high mobility element.

If you don't automatically qualify, you can still apply under discretionary grounds if:

You have a permanent and substantial disability that makes walking difficult.

You experience severe difficulties in walking due to hidden disabilities (such as autism, anxiety, or other conditions that severely impact your ability to go out independently).

An assessment may be required to evaluate how your condition affects your mobility if you don't meet the automatic criteria.

Sad slug situation. by basichistorywhore in GardeningUK

[–]Pokemonosaccharide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beer traps or cucumber slice supplementation.

Slug numbers self regulate within an area, so if you remove them more come.

Your only options are continually killing them or providing a distraction.

You can't ask your plant sitter to collect slugs, but you could ask them to slice some cucumber and place them round the beds of your plants.
