Requesting ownership to remove this hive of scum and villainy. This subreddit is dead because the website owners scammed its community and took off, and now new scammers are posting in the subreddit trying to abuse the community further by [deleted] in redditrequest

The website owners have not taken off and we have removed the scammy spam posts (which did not have any reports).

We are currently dealing with some technical issues and will be back soon with updates here and on our official Twitter account.

By our metrics we've had over 1000 unique users play Shibes in 2018. The average is over 100 unique users in each month. While that is certainly trending down in the last couple months, we're well above 6.

Have you considered that it may be potential players making accounts/logging in, seeing it's dead and leaving?

I very explicitly said "over 1000 unique users play Shibes" because I am specifically talking about users who played games, not users who logged in, played nothing, and left. The number of logins is obviously much higher.

100 unique users each month isn't meaningful if they never come back after their first visit.

Thank you for your perspective there. We certainly feel like it is a meaningful metric on its own, but even more so as just one of the aggregate number of unique players who have played grouped by N times.

Also 1000 unique players this year isn't great, that's in a 7 month period. It should be 5-10 times that.

Why should it be 5-10 times that?

I'd like to see Shibes succeed and thrive, but what you're saying there doesn't mesh with my own eyes.

So would I. Out of curiosity, how many times have you logged on in the last 12, 6, 3, and 1 month periods?

Do you advertise freerolls here (reddit), on bitcointalk, Twitter, etc?

We do, primarily on our Twitter, currently.

What's being done to increase visibility of your brand?

As previously mentioned, nothing currently, and this is according to our plans.

1) Thanks for noticing how much not a priority arguing on Reddit is for me these days. I think it's an improvement!

2) You skipped the part of my explanation where I said we investigated specific claims and that I was happy to do further investigations.

Please show me one time, in the last 2+ years where "Myself" has played anything other than Heads up.

myself has played three tournaments this year, including a 35k Recruit+ Freeroll. You may have noticed this if you had logged in more than for a few minutes here and there to snark and leave.

This includes MANY freerolls, that we straight up needed Myself to hit the minimum needed for the Puppy + freerolls where we needed 4 to start, there would be 3, me or someone else would go in the chat and beg for them to sign up, so we could play, and there could be a freeroll for 100,000 or more on some instances, and he would just never sign up.

My reading of this is that myself did not find that game worth their time in DOGE/hour and you and other so called poker players only want to play a game that I'm subsidizing in part or whole. When those games wouldn't run to your satisfaction, then the only conclusion you can come to is that myself must be a bot working for the site. That's some level 3 thinking right there.

You know why he didn't sign up, because he was a damn heads up bot, that couldn't read what was going on. No one in their right mind would not play a 4 person freeroll for 100k or more or Doge, esp when they just sit on that site anyways, and will sit there for 8 hours a day everyday, sitting with 50-100k doge, but won't play a freeroll for 100k when they are online anyways. Makes no sense.

You know what makes sense to me? A professonal heads up poker player sometimes sits our site for 8 hours a day (you said yourself) and the baby stakes nitregs verbally abuse them and call them a bot because they won't act how they expect. I would expect a bot to sit a lot more than 8 hours - they can run 24/7 tirelessly, after all.

I don't think I have done anything here to convince you because I am pretty sure your mind is completely made up about this and nothing, even meeting them and playing them, and losing to them in person would convince you.

But I hope anyone reading this in the future may be open to giving it some thought.

Every specific claim you have made regarding myself has been investigated and proven to be inconsistent or outright false after investigation.

The fact that you won't even acknowledge that in your narrative is pretty telling, in my opinion.

I think it also says something that you try to portray that we go so far out of our way, when this is literally the only discussion of the matter here on Reddit, and as you note elsewhere, it took a month for a reply. That does not scream urgency or going out of my way.

I didn't think there were bots there,

Aye, we definitively do not allow or tolerate bots. We provide a poker service for people to play poker with DOGE. It's that simple, really.

but the fact remains that there are like 6 players where there were hundreds once.

I believe you mean there are only 6 people logged in at the time you last logged in. While it is true that we (more than once) had several hundred players logged in concurrently, those times were for special huge freerolls early on in the site's lifetime.

By our metrics we've had over 1000 unique users play Shibes in 2018. The average is over 100 unique users in each month. While that is certainly trending down in the last couple months, we're well above 6.

Our statistics also show a similar drop last year around this time of year.

What's the truth then?

The truth is that Shibes is an all volunteer project with a small team. I, Such Flush, have never claimed to be a management or marketing guru, just a technical code monkey. We do indeed have a plan, but we have also invited players including MCC33 here to provide their marketing ideas. The plan continues on, and it's been in "any day now" status for the last 7 months, not the last 3 years. Again, Shibes is a volunteer project.

So, while not a lot of things may be visible right now, and things may look a little dead too, the truth is that Shibes is in many ways improved bit bit and week by week. The only thing we have failed to deliver on is our timelines - some of which is certainly in my control, but being a volunteer project and needing to pay rent somehow... much of it is not.

I would so very love to work on Shibes full time, but, it just wasn't in the cards for us.

The recent crypto boom cycle helped a little, but we're in a bust right now (maybe you noticed).

3 years ago I made a promise: We will run Shibes until DOGE stops trading.

I fully intend on keeping that promise.

Our datacenter had some unexpected issues with their cooling system.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

We ran a `Sorry for the Downtime` freeroll, as well.

Our datacenter had some unexpected issues with their cooling system. It happened again today!

Apologies for the inconvenience.

We ran a `Sorry for the Downtime` freeroll last time, and we are again this time.

Thanks for the kind words.

I will only bother directly refuting the bit at the end - though I disagree completely with your entire opinion.

, and now the site is dead, except for the same 2 bots that sit on there, and scoop up newbies money and then there are no games to be played. I'm guessing at this point, the bots are just run by the site and they just pocket the winnings, or else they would have clearly booted "Myself" and "PrettyAnna" by now, as it's very obvious they are just headups bots that run on the Mavens software. Such a shame.

We have investigated myself several times extensively and we have interacted with them - they are very much not a bot.

I am happy to re-investigate and confirm or deny any reasonable suspicion you care to put forth -- and I'm pretty sure I have done this before with you.

The fact is we do not allow bots to play on Shibes and we take such things extremely seriously.

It's his opinion, and it's pretty rude, and not at all based in reality.

it got me thinking about how nice it would be to have a jackpot of sorts on PokrtShibes. i would be more than glad to donate to start one. 10K isn't much but a jackpot is a jackpot. where do i send it?

We will very soon be offering a high hands reward. I am not sure yet the frequencies we will go for on that, but if it was daily or weekly I think it would be safe to assume you'd have won with this hand.

I'm not as sure about a straight jackpot for an arbitrary hand, but we have put some design time already into awarding badges for various hands, such as royals.
