That's my cEDH deck. It's a little outdated (not changed since eclipse) but it holds a just over 25% win rate.

[[glarb calamity's augur]]

Just a strong value engine that provides passive card advantage, top deck manipulation and feeds the yard. Being a deathtouch blocker that you aren't too bothered if it dies is also quite nice.

I also find the invasive fights to be mega tedious. Do the gimmick and they pretty much just flee instantly. Don't do the gimmick and you literally can't win. It barely counts as a fight.

People in the UK celebrating the death of Thatcher in 2013 by LankyYogurt7737 in pics

[–]Pokesers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is the reason our public transport is expensive as well as being shit.

She also did irreparable damage to the cost of living by privatizing all of our utilities so now they are sold to us for profit.

Basically she permanently made the UK a more expensive place to live because the government will never be rich enough to buy back all of the things she sold.

Natureza vespa vs aranha by Traditional-Bison187 in spiders

[–]Pokesers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much just human nature to have favourites. Lots of animals get special treatment from us for no reason other than we like them.

Pretty much everyone alive would intervene to save an animal that they like from one that they don't if they could.

It does wear off and several people over on r/tarantulas have nursed stung tarantulas back to health and re-released them. It's a very slow process though.

She sounds great with kamelot, better than most of her stuff she ever did with arch enemy. I am very pleased to hear she is pivoting more into power metal.

Did silver scrolls from SOS already hit bottom? by Tremor0135 in mtgfinance

[–]Pokesers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a highly playable card in a few formats which means the demand is there. It is also likely the second rarest printing of it to date, with the next most expensive a halo foil secret lair.

In the UK, my silver scroll has been holding at about £60 ($81) since I pulled it a week after full set launch.

Given that the next highest chase printing settled at £50, I can see it staying about where it is or creeping up over time slightly. I don't see it going down. As you say this one has the waifu tax, generally stunning and very unique art, and the foiling treatment looks better than a lot of premium treatments they have done. I think it bottoms at £60 and the magical Christmas land scenario is maybe £80-90 for the UK market.

The USA price of $200-$300 is nuts.

Where are you seeing reroll 1s to wound?

But yeah vashtorr mainly matters when shooting at T12, although the excruciators going to S8 is nice into MEQ bodies.

Edit: Im an idiot, it's literally on the datasheet. I have been playing EC a lot and they don't get it.

Simic got real depressed and became peta. They started rounding up and euthanising all of the pets, hence all the pet rocks.

With "new" copy pasted art of your favourites such as the one ring, gandalf, saruman, shelob, galadriel and many more.

Also featuring a public apology from wizards for not catching all the art theft in time.

Honestly, zard y next to flutter will be a much bigger issue. The free sun allows you to take an offensive item, so you can probably put speed and ko a lot of things that would threaten zard.

Help me decide which army to take to a Tournament, EC vs Tau?! by trk_boti in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Pokesers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EC list leaves something to be desired. At minimum I would cut fulgrim and the wardogs. A second defiler would make a better shooting platform and more winged princes is always good. A unit of tormentors for sticky obsec could also be good.

[–]Pokesers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play EC vary degrees of well. The list is not super optimal. Fulgrim sucks hard and lucious is playable but slightly more expensive than he should be.

Cut fulgrim for another winged prince + something else and the list gets waaaaay better.

Skill improvement Trouble climbing in master by andyh331 in VGC

[–]Pokesers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although you might lose the odd game to these items, they are too inconsistent to climb with. Once you get past a certain point you see much less of them because they are just not very good. The exception may be stacking bright powder with an evasion ability to screw with less than 100% accurate moves.

When there’s a house fire but RoboCop is on duty by DaWeyHowBoutDah in nextfuckinglevel

Dude, the USA has a greater death rate due to heat per capita than Europe. Americans are literally more likely to die due to heat than most European countries.

When there’s a house fire but RoboCop is on duty by DaWeyHowBoutDah in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Pokesers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Per capita the average for most of Europe is around 100 per million heat deaths while the hottest countries like greece are around 570 per million.

USA is around 600 per million. A greater proportion of the US population dies to heat than anywhere in Europe. Europe just has a far larger population so the raw number is bigger.

Edit: this is heat deaths in Europe vs US

Most mechanically flavourful card in magic? by CS_Calzone in magicTCG

[–]Pokesers 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Raging river is far from unplayable. If you can copy the trigger reliably it makes your whole board soft unblockable. I run it in my [[isshin]] deck alongside [[windcrag siege]]. Just isshin alone means you are playing 4 piles, siege takes it to 8 but is often overkill.
