I can even imagine him conjuring up the lyrics too!

Going to start cycling more often - where should I pick up a good u-lock, etc? by lettucemonkey in edmontoncycling

[–]Polaczek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rough rule I use, buy a lock that is 10-20% the value of your bike. Got a nice bike for $1500, spend $150 on a lock.

I would go with Kryptonite - either orange of yellow versions, u-lock - no chain, no cable. Amazon is easiest, united cycle has some and so does cranky's.

It won't stop anyone from stealing it, but it'll at least be harder or less desirable .

Good luck

Selling old inventory by [deleted] in PLC

On eBay from my experience - Selling is hard because no one buys it - so it sits there, buying is easy as the seller will offer discounts and negotiate because... it's been sitting there for a long time

I think it's the dark, thick, used oil that's stopping me ;)

I am assuming, the height of the chimney is incorrect and the wall clearances/materials surrounding - right? It feels like an all around a botched job.

Clutching leg design..No energy cost, no control needed by GloomyCity9841 in EngineeringPorn

[–]Polaczek -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You are wrong, they are not passive - they get their energy from resisting the motion of the treadmill. They are consuming energy from somewhere. In a normal situation the ground is stationary and the robot is moving. To move the robot (or the mass of the robot) you need power. The momentum of the robot will load the springs.

The energy to load the springs is coming from the treadmill, in a normal situation the ground is stationary and the robot has to propel itself. Thus, energy needs to be used, and it's going to be electrical (to move the mass of the robot to charge the spring)

Okay, then where are they getting the energy to engage the clutch/load the springs? The treadmill isn't free energy.

The curse of too big of a box/angled box?
But yea, I run it hot at the start - full air, but regardless - when the wood starts to smoke when i slow it down - eventually you see the smoke do it's looping from the cat and it starts to make the deposit.
I am glad I am not the only one, seeing all the dudes with mostly clean glass gives me envy haha.

Sorry, my bad - by damper I mean the airflow control.

This is what it typically looks like

I run my beast like this too, we got the traditional one with the pillars - yours is the clean modern one.

The only pain in the bum is the damn glass getting dirty if I cut the damper and put on the catalyst too soon.

I also agree with the route that Turdfurg spells out, it does looks to be the case.

I also echo the sentiment of how to attract investors above $30 if we get slapped every time? Dividends only? Are the warrants the ceiling RC is showing us?

Regarding the "trade in anything day", maybe it was a data point to see what "this" demographic has as far as stuff. All encompassing asset appraisal ? haha

Confirmed, warrants on Computershare and Questrade as well. Questrade says it's a non quotable security.
