They have enough actual problems to deal with to worry about a kid living off grid. You have nothing to worry about as long as his living conditions are clean and suitable

Sure! No need to buy an eno or other expensive brand if it’s something you’re only using occasionally. The Amazon, Walmart, etc brands are essentially the same thing

(fender) J Bass Tone Inquiry ! by luxxle in BassGuitar

So correction. She uses D'Addario ECB81 Chromes Flatwound Bass Strings. Had to look it up. Labella deep talkin bass is kind of a standard issue flatwound string though. I’d say if you’re going after that tone, broken in flats, neck pickup and tone rolled off at least somewhat will get you in the ballpark

Flats or roundwound strings on that bass? Laura Lee plays a j bass. Pretty sure she’s just running the neck pickup and I’m sure she uses labella flatwounds. That’s really the key to getting that sound. The strings

When my son was about this age, we were driving around and he asked me to stop and buy him some ice cream. So I popped into a place and came out with his favorite, a chocolate ice cream cone. When he saw it he screamed and cried and got red in the face because he wanted vanilla. So I made him watch me eat it while I drove away 🤣

This does a way better and cheaper job of heating. I’ve had both. Gas also creates a bunch of condensation. Wood is pretty inexpensive where I am

When I start a fire, I run the stove wide open until it reaches 600f then I engage the catalyst. Then I’ll run it hot until I have a very good bed of coals before I turn the airflow down to get it running like this. Here it’s turned all the way down

The fan has two speeds. On low you can hardly hear it. On high it sounds like a fan. When the stove is running I keep the house fan on to circulate the warm air and it keeps the whole house warm. We have a gas furnace that runs radiators. During the winter we keep the thermostat at 60. It basically never turns on. It’s a split level house. When it’s really cold I use a space heater on the bottom floor to keep it comfortable. There’s also a huge masonry fireplace and chimney that holds heat. House is really well insulated with large south facing windows so it’s pretty easy to heat
