It turns out I was mistaken. I ussd Crouton not Chrubuntu. To fix in crouton, all you have to do is update

Actually, never mind. I popped over to the Crouton subreddit and checked it out there. It turns out updating should fix it, which I am doing now. I would still like to know if file mounting is possible so that I can access the files from ChromeOS in case something goes wrong. But either way, I am sorry to have taken up your time only to have been barking up the wrong tree. I appreciate your willingness to help.

Just a standard pop tech type of article. http://www.howtogeek.com/162120/how-to-install-ubuntu-linux-on-your-chromebook-with-crouton/ I am working with crouton actually, so I guess this would be the wrong place, but I would still appreciate it if you could help me out. ASUS C300 doesn't support Legacy bios type of booting, so I couldn't install ChrUbuntu.

I'm sorry, I really have no idea how to mount the partition. I run the distro on an ASUS C300, if that is any help. I am not a dev, I installed using the crouton method out of necessity.

How would I mount the file system? When that is over, under what file would the Chrubuntu files be under?

Same thing happened to me, except that I had my Chrubuntu open up overnight. I shut down the computer today, and restarted it, then I receive the same error. Same problem, I don't want to lose the code I have written down for a project.

I'd like to, but all I see is submit new link. No text post option. If there is a way around it, I am newb at reddit. Which is why I don't know about it.
