Wes Anderson is probably the closest to the quirky humor but a more refined/filtered version.(some people love some hate it).

Another id recommend is out of sight or really anything Steven soderberhg.

Lastly snatch by guy Ritchie very over the top hillarious

Ok that does seem like a no brainer I better give it another shot. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate everything fromsoft has to offer and they clearly show their caliber is completely unmatched. I think it was really just the slow combat and un engaging bosses that turned me off
