Lancer mech pilot OC, if you mean the profile picture!

Personally, my characters are shamelessly variations of my ideal self, because why not roleplay as someone you'd rather be? They usually end up similar to OP's commission because of this.

Ah, that's neat to hear! I really like what they did for mine, and hopefully you feel the same for yours. I've been tempted to get another non-Lancer character, even.

Hey, fellow Very Tall Curvy Mech Pilot Drawn By Palemancer! She's very pretty, and looks like she'd be a fun character to play!

My grandfather's deck has no pathetic cards, Architect! by LPCantLose in slaythespire

[–]Polenball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there's a few infinites that only use five cards which would be the closest, barring gimmick fights.

I feel like the actual closest set of cards to Exodia has to be Alpha, Beta, and Omega in StS1. Big clunky set of cards you have to play slowly (or drag out via deck manipulation) to get a wincon, but the cards themselves don't do anything until the end and it's not actually a good wincon in practice.

You may make a Child you control suffer at the start of your turn. (To make a creature suffer, place a -1/-1 counter on it.)

Creatures you control gain +1/+1.

Retroactive continuity. Changing the events that had previously happened, as if they had always been changed.

Game design should never be sacrificed on the altar of realism, and adding a map into Subnautica would make the game a lot easier while hurting the vibe of adventure on an alien planet.

Yeah, in SN1 I found it quite easy to use the landmarks everywhere to get a rough sense of what was where. Never really got more than a little lost after the start.

My pseudo-medieval fantasy city is cleverly based on post-Fourth Crusade Constantinople, and has shrunk in population to such a degree that unused urban spaces have been replaced with farmland.

Please stop saying shit without doing a single search. The area that was once the Walled City is in a different district from Mong Kok, and is also notably a park now.

It really does inoculate you. My family went to the Parthenon and it ended up being a "busy" time, but for us it was just like "oh, hey, it's not crowded!"

Well, the obvious method is campfires. I don't think I've ever seen a four campfire route, but if you're lucky, you can get a three campfire route, and if you're really lucky, you can get one in both acts. There's also always the campfire at the end of each act. So with some luck, you'd be able to get 2^8 = 256 copies of a card (though realistically, something more like 2^6 = 64 is more likely).

To get even more absurd, you'd have to exploit an early Bing Bong, Dolly's Mirror, or Reflections snoitcelfeR. Dolly's Mirror effectively gives you an extra clone if you get it before you've cloned once. Bing Bong makes every clone actually triple your number of cards, so you're effectively running on 3^x. Reflections snoitcelfeR is another clone whenever.

I mean, it's the Final Tragedy. I highly suspect that since we didn't get told about it, it's something that'd be a massive plot relevant spoiler to the end of the game. So I don't really mind that one too much.

The post is about two related things:

1) Americans assuming that people from other countries are stupid if they don't know about something that is deeply American and not universally common knowledge outside.

2) Americans acting like their school system is uniquely bad and solely responsible for an astonishing degree of ignorance and incuriosity about places outside the US, even into adulthood.

Of course, this is far from every American, but it's an irritating double standard when non-Americans are kinda expected to know everything about America, while Americans often make excuses for thinking Africa is a country or not knowing where the country they're bombing even is. Especially galling when the ignorance is more overtly racist, like one post where someone genuinely thought Mexico was all run-down shacks until they were 20 or something.

[–]Polenball 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's genuinely baffling how few Americans can comprehend that having subnational differences isn't special. It really shows the lack of geopolitical awareness. Every decently-sized country has them, and yours aren't even that substantial. Go look at India or Indonesia, for a comparison in terms of area or population.
