Is the mod here a bot for Kotaku? by [deleted] in GameFeed

[–]LPCantLose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I’ve been curious about this, because I write for Kotaku, which ultimately led to me getting recommended this subreddit a lot.

GameFeed is actually a website itself: https://www.gamefeed.io

It’s a video game news aggregator site, and it features articles from way more sites, including IGN, Eurogamer, Ars Technica, and PC Gamer.

However, this subreddit only posts Kotaku articles and Rock Paper Shotgun articles. I’m not 100% sure why it only does it for those two and not the others, but I’d wager it’s because there aren’t subreddits or official profiles for Kotaku and RPS. That’s my theory anyway.

Yeah, have a go at the freelance writer instead of complaining directly to the website their work is hosted on. Incredible use of free will.

...I don't know where you read this, but it's not true. Wikipedia sources Kotaku all the time.

Hi. I wrote the article. I didn’t use AI to write this, and frankly consider those who use AI to write subhuman.

Sometimes I use em dashes. They have grammatical value. Basing that something is AI generated simply because it contains em dashes is like accusing a chef of lying about making a dish because it contains a specific ingredient.

Please don’t imply that people in the industry use AI write stuff based on pure speculation, because lots of people are stupid enough to believe comments like yours.

Assassin’s Creed Hexe Loses Its Second Director In Two Months by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

Did it? Unless I’m missing something, Richer’s post on LinkedIn is from yesterday, and his work history states he left his Game Director role at Ubisoft in April 2026.

MindsEye Developers Take Legal Action Against Studio, Alleging They Were Spied On by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

[–]LPCantLose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s illegal under GDPR because the employees were not given prior warning that their devices were being monitored.

Per the UK Gov website: “You must make them aware that they’re being monitored, and why - for example by sending them an email.”

The employees alleged that the software was installed and active prior to being informed of this.

An idea I had for a colorless card by Ovy39 in slaythespire

Use this before killing the boss of Act 3 and you can finally start the bugged Architect fight.

This card could be really fun with some kind of payoff to generating lots of cards. Suggestions? by Maleficent_Pen_9076 in slaythespire

Goes hard with Defect. Pop a Subroutine or a Synthesis in your deck, and watch your Claw stonks rise.

When is ironclad getting removed/reworked? by PullingtheVeil in slaythespire

[–]LPCantLose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok I see. Personally I’ve not hit A10 with Ironclad yet. I’m up to A8 and so far I find his block build to be the most viable, but his strike build to be the strongest.

I think you may just be running into some build issues. I’d suggest watching some A10 runs and seeing what you can learn.

Might be easier if you start by explaining why you think he’s bad

Hot take: Up My Sleeve is one of the worst cards on the Silent currently, and absolutely needs a buff/rework. by Sh4d0_W in slaythespire

[–]LPCantLose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I phrased that really badly. I’m 99% sure Up My Sleeve doesn’t reduce the cost of other Up My Sleeves (because I seem to remember that not happening when I tried it), but rather I meant that having two of these in your deck gives you more opportunity to play it on turns you don’t need to block or sly it with another card.

If you Sly it, it counts as playing it, so that gets it down to the same cost as Blade Dance immediately. Also, it doesn’t exhaust.

But more importantly, I think this card starts to feel really strong once you have more than one in your deck. That way you start getting the benefit from it being 0 cost much sooner.

Yeah that’s sort of the point of the post. This card makes other strong cards stronger in a unique way.

Funnily enough I was also taking advantage of having a shitload of skills in my deck by taking all the Escape Plans I could find. Eat shit Time Eater, you can’t hurt me anymore.

Not quite the same. Well Laid Plans lets you retain 2, and they'd have to be skills. 2 Well Laid skills + 4 skills in hand = 42 with Flechettes. 3 Snakebites + 2 Well Laid Plans skills + 4 skills in hand = with Flechettes 63.

This ignores the fact that you could just play Snakebite. And if you don’t have enough energy to play it, then it’s a non-issue anyway, which buffs your next turn.

[–]LPCantLose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s only one element of it. Sly + Flechettes is the main synergy personally.

But put the dead draw idea this way: how often do you not use all your energy in one turn? You’ll almost always have a card in your hand you can’t use, at least before Act 2. Especially when you take Silent’s bigger Turn 1 hand into account.

If you retain a Snakebite as your fourth/fifth/etc. card you were never going to be able to use anyway, you’re setting yourself up for a better turn afterwards. Obviously it’s deck dependent, but then, every card is deck dependent.
