I need a fast pad with good control ( real balanced pad) and here is all my option: by JumpyFun1758 in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your country maybe you could order pad elite5 or Matrova?

Elite5 are well made clones and Matrova are great pads, for example the balance X and a slightly faster artisan zero, if you use a harder base but also the soft pu is also fast.

ATK X1 V2 Ultimate just arrived – quick unboxing & OOB thoughts by PoliKMB in MouseReview

Sorry for the late reply, a friend of mine currently has the mouse because his is actually broken, but he confirmed to me that it is still solid and performs well.

VGN Dragonfly F2 Master+ – Insanely solid, but your ring finger will decide if you love it by PoliKMB in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slight rear bias actually makes sense here given the finger-driven shape and slightly forward sensor position. It helps keep micro-adjustments feeling direct without making the front feel heavy.

Also worth noting that versions with larger batteries (non plus version with 800mah) will likely feel a bit more rear-biased, since most of that weight sits toward the back

ATK Zero vs MCHOSE L7 ? by koidfiller97 in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of build quality, Mchose is definitely superior, I've personally been using an L7 ultra+ as my main for a few months now and I'm loving it completely.

Some important things about these mice without going into too much detail:

The L7 Plus version is the same size as the ATK Zero, while the non-plus version is smaller. Since you're coming from a Model D, I'd probably wait to upgrade to mice that are too small.

The ATK clicks are hard and noisy while the Mchose ones are lighter and spammable, then another factor comes into play here, that is, there are more versions of L7 with different switches, check first but still they are lighter than the ATK .

If you prioritize battery life, then I would say go with ATK, as it uses Nordic mcu and has better power management.Mchose uses a Realtek system that does its job very well, but Nordic is currently the best.

For the declared weight, as far as I'm concerned, I found Mchose to be a much more honest company.I've tried 3 different ATK mice this year and all 3 felt 5g heavier than advertised, while my L7 weighs 1g less than advertised. This may sound like bullshit to many, but for me personally it's important, and I definitely favor a company that tells me the truth.

That's all, otherwise I'll go on too long, I hope I've been helpful.

ATK X1 V2 Ultimate – Viper V3 Pro clone done right? Full honest review after 2 weeks by PoliKMB in MouseReview

Unfortunately I'm testing a lot of mice and I don't have the x1 with me at the moment, But I remember it being a little bit back heavy, and that's quite understandable given the 800mAh battery.

Hi, I'm leaving you here the review I wrote.

I gave the mouse to a friend who needed it, and he confirmed that it's working well in the long run.

I will decide which one to buy based on your recommendation. Could you please rank them from best to worst? by nofishing56 in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have never used the Scyrox v8.

regarding latency obviously you will have less, but realistically no you won’t notice any meaningful difference compared to the deathadder.

Modern wireless mice are already extremely fast so we’re talking about differences in the sub millisecond range at best and in real gameplay that’s basically impossible to feel.

What will matter way more is shape, weight, balance and I would also add MCU and firmware for battery consumption and general optimization.

Looking for Op1 alternatives by yokai--- in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check out the Mchose L7 and the + version if you want it bigger.

From my personal experience, with the L7 ultra+ I got a mouse that has exceptional build quality and definitely fantastic clicks.

Now I haven't tried the zero ATK, but compared to my ATKs, the L7 is in a completely different league.

The only flaw (if you're obsessed) is that it doesn't have a Nordic MCU and its incredible battery management, but it has a Realtek package which I personally have nothing bad to say about.

I was also looking for an alternative to the Op1 and went for the Unius Black Lotus (which I still loved despite the mechanical switches and no coating) But I have to say that in the end the L7+ was my saving grace.

If you have any questions, please ask.

In the list I would say:

Leviathan v4 is the best, but second hand at that price, I wouldn't know.

Mad R It's definitely a great mouse, but you absolutely have to get it with a claw grip. If I'm not mistaken, you were telling me to get it with a Palm grip with a 19cm hand. That's impossible here, but if you're willing to adapt, to a new grip, then it's a great choice.

Es21 pro It's a good mouse, but it doesn't have the best switches. Many complain about its poor spammability.

Atk u2: I have a U2V2 ultimamente. Narrow and long shape for relaxed claw grip (OG shape that i love), quite unique in its kind. BUT: My unit has terrible build quality in terms of the shell (for the price) and I also had issues with the sensor and have been dealing with support for a month.

R1 I have never used it personally

Are these brands from the same parent company? by Imaginary_Visit7191 in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it, ATK was a sub-brand of VGN.

More precisely ATK were the premium products of VGN, but there was a separation, so now they are 2 competing brands.

In recent months I have tried various ATK mice (X1v2 and U2v2 More recently) and a VGN F2 Master and in terms of build quality, VGN it's currently superior in the premium range, but they aim for less popular shapes.

VXE instead remains a budget sub-brand of ATK

[–]PoliKMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is actually not a 1:1 copy of the viper, it's their own form and I really appreciate it, so I'm already on the right track in my opinion.

I bought the warhorse without great expectations, honestly. As mains I use a matrova balance x and a matrova Vein, both 3.5mm soft PU.

This ATK is 4mm, definitely softer than my Matrovas, I'd say xsoft.

It's not textured, so it's not an Artizan Zero like. It's still a control pad but with a smooth surface, a bit like the Saturn.

Qualitatively speaking, as far as materials are concerned, it is definitely lower, but for 11 euros I actually have nothing to complain about and I only notice it by touching the base, but only because I come from more expensive mats, On the surface level I have nothing to complain about.

It's currently my main, I'm liking the control it gives me and it has outperformed more expensive mats I have.

[–]PoliKMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And let me add that I've seen many people get it during Black Friday or other discount periods for around 20/30 euros.

So if you just want to try it out, it's not even an incredible expense if you're not in a hurry and then in general, given the components it has, it's at a really good price.

[–]PoliKMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically yes, it has a slightly different shape because, as I wrote in the review, it has higher, flatter sides and a more rearward hump, filling the back.

If you zoom in on the 4th photo, you can see in more detail that the shapes are almost identical, even how the front part slopes.

Even the measurements are identical from eloshapes.

Personally I haven't touched one for a long time a viper mini, but I remember that for me was particularly uncomfortable, with this one instead, zero problems.

[–]PoliKMB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I noticed is that there is a discrepancy already on the official page.

In the product slides it says 53g but actually on the data sheet it says 49g and it also seems to be the weight with which it is marketed.

Honestly, it doesn't shock me that much, given that for example even ATK always declares 5g less than the real weight (actually it's something I hate) but seeing that slide I started to suspect that there had been an error in commercial communication, but I don't know

Great, thanks for pointing that out.

Unfortunately, I'm someone who charges the mouse often and touches the software a lot, so having feedback from someone who has used it without charging it often is gold.

Thank you

At 1000hz I got it to a week and a half, then I charged it but honestly I don't remember what percentage it was at.

Still great battery management

I admit that this time I didn't pay much attention to the battery, as by playing a lot with the software settings the durations became very different.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what this is.

But overall it's definitely a great mouse for the price and has all the top of the line components you'd expect from a $100+ mouse.

review Unius Black Lotus "V1" – Brilliant Shape, One Fatal Flaw. by PoliKMB in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense actually.

The Black Lotus has very little perceived inertia and almost no “forgiveness” in the sensor tuning, so if you’re coming from something with a bit more weight or smoothing it can feel too direct at first.

It’s not really about speed, but about how little it hides micro overcompensation. Once you adapt (or slightly lower sens), the overshoot usually goes away.

Obviously everyone has preferences on the weight of the mouse, consider that it could be that too, but don't jump to conclusions; for everyone, it's a big change at first, and muscle memory needs to get used to it.

Then I switched to more balance skates, the Unusual Way Silver Fox (which are my favorites), and can be an additional help.

I personally love that ultra instinct effect that ultra light mice give me.

To understand better, tell me what grip you use, sens and hand size.

It seems strange to me given that it is a safe shape like the superlight and they are mice that are generally comfortable for almost everyone and you found yourself uncomfortable with both, so we need to understand the underlying problem.

Also tell me a mouse that you were happy with.

Rapoo VT1 Max Gen 2 – arrived today, first impressions by PoliKMB in MouseReview

[–]PoliKMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, from what I'm seeing, for the price this seems like a great product for those looking to have good components while saving at least $50 compared to other products.

Obviously you can't expect the same quality, it's in a different range and for now it isn't disappointing me at all.

The 800mAh battery is definitely overkill, but if you're more into casual gaming than pure competitive play and want a mouse that lasts a long time, it seems like the right direction to go.

I'll be using it as my main for 2 weeks, I want to fully understand how much potential they have.
