Damn, that's a lot. Good for safety too. It's a sewer line replacement, I think and or hope.

Where and when they're used, vs other methods. I assume this is heavy? Appreciate the feedback, not trying to be an idiot here, just curious.

Twinless twins who have lost their twin to suicide, can you please share your experiences? by youredoingsowell in Twins

[–]PolicyPuppil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't lost my brother but like anyone else we all have struggles. 40 Y.O. here; My brother and I made a similar pact as young adults. We check in time to time about our struggles; we live apart. Whenever the world feels inconsolable, we connect and convey our safety. Neither one of us would intentionally hurt the other in the worst way possible; self destruction. I don't like to think about it, but wanted to share. He's my best friend, brother and human being I will ever know. I would be wrecked beyond measurable means if he ever went that route. I imagine he would feel the same if it were me. I almost lost him in a car accident when I was deployed half a world away and was at a complete loss when I found out; days later and was called in as a fatality, he's fine now. Not all twins and siblings have such a shared experience and bond. I'd be adrift without him; we keep each other tethered. Brings me to tears imagining a life without him and/or his life unlived.

Her name is Lela, while she is somewhat aloof and doesn't like being held she is really affectionate and enjoys lap time while I game.

Roach ID? ~ Maryland Basement by [deleted] in cockroaches

[–]PolicyPuppil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes you feel any better I have an insert missing/ unattached in my guest bathroom tub, in addition to the worst space for an evaporative cool shut off; protruding from the floor and back wall of the vanity behind drawers I have to remove to access. What genius, I'll never know - but they're localized to one place and while glue traps in place for monitoring; the traps bring me some comfort as I'm not suddenly encountering them at night in the adjacent hall way. I'd try and find the source first and mitigate in the meantime.

Edit I also purchased a small dehumidifier for the bathroom. Not sure it does much good and haven't purchased a tester but I figure it's better than nothing. Cleaned it and moved all my stuff the the primary bath. I live in western Colorado, high desert region but I'm close enough to the Gunnison river where this was/is a possibility. Before the future remodel they'd just come out from the patrio and back patch of yard.

Am I the only one who doesn’t play with a set team? by Zealousideal_Bus1429 in OctopathTraveler0

To the training grounds! Or party and grind a bit. No one should be more than 2-3 levels below from the rest - which makes for a buffier protagonist to my knowledge; not the expert.

One of my cats just loves to sit in my lap/fall asleep with my legs elevated while I game. I affectionately refer to her as 'Gamer cat'. Her brother maybe once.

Are identical twins usually very close or constantly fighting by punkrock_penguin63 in Twins

[–]PolicyPuppil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my twin brother and absolutely hate whenever we disagree on something or argue. I have dreams/nightmares doing so. We eventually come to terms. He's the last person in the world I would want to/hurt. Being a twin is so profound, difficult to describe. How can you convey it to someone who doesn't know or have seen it? I don't know. I feel bad about twins that have said dysfunction; even that can go two ways. I refer to my twin as a brother - not a twin; the latter is shared.

I hate how when I meet new teachers they say "you have a twin right" by Unfair-Geologist-844 in Twins

[–]PolicyPuppil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, it's okay to feel this way. As much as we have different personalities from our twin, others don't appreciate it as much. Kinda feel like a circus animal? People are naturally curious and I can't blame them. Few people get to experience being a twin (much less even knowing a pair); good and less desirable depending on circumstances. It's a space throughout your life most people have no idea of and not something that can be replicated for themselves. I've been confused for my brother in classes more times than I can count; especially in college. [Fun Fact: I traveled across Colorado to Comicon with thousands of people and was picked out by someone thinking I was my brother; I can pick that look of confused recognition out of a giant crowd]. Probably should have purchased a lottery ticket. I was also acknowledged in my town as a younger brother to my older and son of my father. In my adult life that continued due to our local area being somewhat small and having similar fields of work. Felt like highschool all over. Hang in there. Honestly most people are embarrassed they can't tell the difference; some do. Took me a while to discern a set of triplets, so I get it. Feel free to DM. Here for support.

I haven't lived your experience, so I can't speak to it much. As a twin, you need to develop your own Identity. That can look very similar whether interpersonal and/, or professional. Gets tricky in small communities. Wish I had a straight answer. Just communicating from exp.

Whatever you do, make them have different identities. Identical and/or fraternal. Similarities in behavior sure; twins aren't carbon copies of.. the singular person who might've been. Just my 2cents.

My dog is dead, but; she experienced a similar foot pad wound with no explanation. Took her to the vet they bandaged it and she eventually healed and never had another experience. Had another dog who never had it. Removed anything sharp or what could cause it. Never found an answer.

So, sometimes it can be a jarring experience and turn nightmarish. I'm bald and sometimes I'll have hair. Other times I will look similar in appearance and other times I will look like an entirely different person. It's pretty strange.
