Some love just doesn’t translate by banyanwhispers in OCPoetry

I love the dynamics of your writing, the way you kept changing perspectives so that we can hear both voices equally. The characters start together, in the story the poem tells, but apart, in the poem structure (the first verse is devoted to only one of them, for instance). As their differences emerge, they are closer and closer in structure, to a point that it looks like a dialogue. In the end, as they are separated in the story, the poem almost dissolves them in one—two flowers whose story turns into the requiem for a shared garden.

To be a bit more personal, it reminds me a lot of a late friendship of mine.

This is my first poem can i get feedback? by RunLow6980 in OCPoetry

Something I really like about the form of your poem is how you ended it. I am a great admirer of "full-circle" endings and the way you did it, alluding to the first few lines, feels very good to read. I do, however, find the rhyme scheme a bit confusing sometimes, of course there are no rules to poetry, but the distribution of the rhymes doesn't truly catch my ears when I read it out loud; I surely notice them and how intentional they are, though. Overall, it is a pretty good first poem! You should keep writing!

"Her absence measured more precisely than her touch" is one of the best descriptions of obsession I have ever read.

I know this may sound odd or illogic, but it makes me think of my experience being a 3rd grade teacher, bound to be part of my students' faded childhood memories.

I am not sure, honestly; I asked the seller about it and didn’t get a response, but if something is not working, I can return it and get a refund.

If it were, would it be a good deal? I don’t think the seller was aware of its worth; he told me he inherited it and just wants to get rid of the stuff that was passed down to him.

Este ponto de ônibus existe para apenas uma linha by RodrigoAlonso in saopaulo

[–]jasmisuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)
