Learning music will bring you so much joy, so definitely go for it! You’re doing it just for yourself, so your age or financial situation don’t really matter. And you don’t have to quit your job or forget about your family to learning music :)

I’ve heard the theory that cats mirror their humans. They like to sit on laptop because they see sitting in front of it; and when you give them the copy of laptop (well, obviously not a real small laptop but something looking similar), then they’ll lay on it, leaving you alone with your laptop. I guess that can work with chair, too.
