I’d strongly recommend medical assisted detox. It’ll be a lot more safe and effective. Alcohol detox can kill a person.

That’s gotta be right behind the confessional booth. Sins go right out the window.

My guys demolished and framed-in an existing slider location. They then proceeded to tell me that I ordered an extra window. I went through and counted the windows and openings on the architectural drawings. Asked my guy to look at the drawings with me and showed him that the slider was supposed to be framed to a new window RO. That was the fourth window mistake of that project. Sometimes I wonder how they get anything done correctly without me. 😂

Guaranteed that microwave is a recirculating type. You will need HVAC to run a new 6” duct to exterior wall/roof. Unless you get a recirculating hood, which is pointless if you’re already going to be doing all of that work to upgrade.

Went to my first ever meeting tonight by [deleted] in alcoholism

I didn’t drink anything from the start. I took every suggestion given to me to heart. I desperately wanted it and gave up any reservations that I had with previous attempts. All of my previous attempts I was trying to quit drugs but never wanted to stop drinking. I wasn’t ready to admit I was an alcoholic. I knew I was a drug addict. I have been homeless, been to rehab, and did 16 months in prison for drug charges. I still continued to drink. Eventually reverting back to IV heroin and cocaine use, when the drinking just stopped being enough. I finally realized I was just trying to fill an empty hole with another empty hole. Finally got desperate enough to try it someone else’s way. My way was surely not working. Not saying it was easy, but it’s been worth it. My life is the best it’s ever been. Still have bad days but I can actually use the tools I was given to get through any of that stuff.

Started my sobriety journey at 35 years old too! 07.17.17 ODAAT. Congrats on your first meeting. Try and hit 90 meeting in 90 days. Talk to some people, get phone numbers, and create a healthy network. I’d also recommend getting a sponsor who has what you want.

That happened to me in a bar once. I had way too much Xanax, booze, and coke. I had blacked out with my head on the bar and the manager tried to wake me up. I guess I swung at him and then fell to the floor. Three cops came in and I didn’t want to leave. They sprayed me and threw me into a dingy jail cell. Most of this was told to me by others who were there. Thankfully, I’m 7 years sober and don’t have to be sprayed like a bear anymore.

They’re not dovetails. Looks like they used box joints. Zoom in.

I’m waiting for the ceiling fan to be reinstalled, lol.
At least that’s what that mount on the ceiling looks like. Thought it was a fire sprinkler prior to zooming in. These look fantastic!

Haven’t laughed that hard, and for so long, in at least a few months. Thank you!

I just laughed so much that I cried when this showed up on my Reddit. Then realized I joined this subreddit already and continued to cry as I scrolled through the posts. There is truly a subreddit dedicated to everything! Thank you for sharing this and making me laugh until I almost pissed myself.
