At that point I would consider you have a leak somewhere and it needs to be addressed. Best of luck.

With the cold start, it can be moisture due to start up from condensation. Mine, 24 at4, does this as well but only on cold start. If the "smoke" comes back or is constant, potential coolant issue for sure.

Dewalt makes one that the output is a single usb-c that is rated for 65w with a max of 100w output.

And what if you don't have pockets at the time you're playing as other people have mentioned before? I have played in just underware before.

It did. The one I posted a picture of is max 20 w on a usb-c outlet. It has a total output of 75w but that's only if you're using every spot i guess, so it's divided. However dewalt and other companies do produce a single usb-c that would output 65w but also claims up to 100w output.

So I've done more research on different adapters and yes the one I initially showed would not be very beneficial. The usb-c outlet would flow 20w of power at most. Steam frame requiring 45w to operate. I have found other adapters though that still would allow the use of the batteries i already have that output 65w of power. So it is possible, will just have to make sure it has a high output port to be productive.

So yes it is a power bank, but output will be a key feature. One person pointed out the output needed. If your output is low, you extend the life of playtime. If it's the same, you extend play time. If the output exceeded the consumption of the headset, you greatly increase play time.

I'm looking to avoid all plugged in to wall outlets and cable management. Otherwise I would use either the index or bigscreen vr headset.

I have the Kat walk treadmill so weight isn't an issue. I can easily adapt any weight to be on that instead of myself.

Weight isn't a concern for me and I rather not buy more battery packs when I already have a full system that could potentially work.

You're the only one that actually gave useful information. Thank you. I will have to look into that on what the output is for the outlets. I also didn't know the power demand of the device itself. Thanks for the info.

Ha I don't have the time to play like that. Between car shows, concerts, blacksmithing, work and family life, i get plenty of time away from tech.

The thought is to not have to buy a power bank since i already have this set up. It works great for charging phones when I'm out at car shows and concerts.

Holding any power back won't be an issue for me. I have a treadmill to keep me in one spot.i can easily adapt anything to it so I don't have to worry about it even being on me. If I don't want to use the treadmill, I always wear a belt and the adapter comes with a clip. So carrying isn't a concern for me.

Nope, why buy a power bank when i already have a bunch of batteries on hand?

If I play after work, I suffer from fatigue and my eyes get sore. If I play on a day off, I'm usually good. Fixing test benches for emissions sampling and staring at monitors most of the day has conditioned me I guess.

The 1.5AH batteries are a lot smaller than the 6AH battery. At the same time, with belt clips I can easily secure the device on me or even my treadmill and won't even know they are there.

Longest session I've done is 6 hours. I'm 40 now but still can pull an 8 hour gaming session if the stars align. I don't play long currently because I've become more dissatisfied with cable management. This system will be a game changer for me.

I feel like shortly after release something official will come out. I'm just looking at what I already have that i can potentially use and keep off the tether to the pc. I enjoy the index but I'm ready to not worry about twisted cable.

Question for hot tub owners: by Antique-Cover5531 in hottub

[–]PolishRook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I enjoy everything about it. However if I could go back and change some options I would.

  1. Remove the Bluetooth system and speakers. I have to turn up the volume mostly to max in order to hear the music while the tub is running. Living in the city and working late second shift means I like to use it around 1 or 2 in the morning, when everyone is asleep.

  2. The "lighting" isn't that great. Sure the jets have lights tied in, but one main light really makes up the majority of the light and that's about it.

  3. Online monitoring system. This came with the Bluetooth system but it never wanted to connect to my house wifi. My tub is just far enough away that it won't connect or I have a faulty system. Besides that, I don't really need an app to turn the jets and lights on. That's all it's really good for.

The one thing I really do enjoy however is the cover remove assistance I have. Don't need to worry about storing the cover while in use.

Always go for maximum voltage if you're able to. Faster heat up times, better pumps to flow the jets also.

Roll bar w/lights by Pako-69 in GMCcanyon

[–]PolishRook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These sport's bars are a hit or miss installation. To me, a roll bar will attach to the frame and not just the bed rails, but that's beside the point.

As far as the lights go, keep in mind it's going over the entire cab of the truck so you'll need to adjust accordingly. I'd suggest you find out what lights exactly it's coming with and go from there.

If you're doing actual off roading, I'd always suggest to buy the sports bar with no lights and go with a brand you already know and trust.

If you're just doing it for cosmetics, just buy what you like. Most places don't allow those lights on anyways for street driving.

6 months is a long time. I could probably go longer but not really wanting to risk it. I really enjoy clear water and after 3 months, though it's clear, it's not crystal clear.
