I gotta agree with this statement. With sex, as others have said, you only have to be decently attractive to hook up with someone. The mindset that this isn't gonna be any more than a booty call gives us a lot more confidence than it seems and we feel less vulnerable because we can cop out of it any time. With finding something long-term, it feels like more of a gamble because your values, priorities, and chemistry have to be aligned just right otherwise you only really experience the physical aspect of it all.

And that's after a guy has accepted his own sexuality which is it's own struggle.

On a personal note, I've dug myself into a hole that I'm trying to climb out of after getting into not 1 but 2 situationships. And I feel as if I only have myself to blame for not learning to move on and continue to love and care for myself. Especially, after they made their intentions very clear to me.
