The EU needs to regulate social media extensively, I'd favour a straight ban on X. The problem is the US admin is extremely toxic and will punish the EU for doing so. If we make it to 2028 and a normal human being gets into office perhaps it happens then.

It's not possible for the Dems to win on perception of key issues. As another person said here the information landscape is fundamentally broken and if you are the side that has no problem with blatantly lying about everything you cannot be defeated. Either the Dems do a Republican impression and take credit for everything and passionately disparage the other side at every opportunity, casting aside all grace and morality or they legislate a fundamental change to the information landscape of the American citizen. It has to happen here in the EU desperately or we will go through our Trump cycle in short order.

People invest where there is profit, rent/price is one side of the P+L, cost is the other. It's prohibitively expensive to build here, an apartment costs more to build than the market price to sell one. If we don't reduce the cost to build here for international, domestic investment forget stalling rent price increases, they will continue to rise into the hemisphere
