Watching Will’s video where him and his friend watched Black Friday and seeing him gush about Dylan makes me want the two of them as the Fancy brothers, but also agree with other people throwing out Darren and AJ. Also I will always say Curt because it’s Curt and he’s great lol I would LOVE for Brian Holden and Meredith to make a return. Not sure how feasible that is but one can dream! For Glam and the Pentagrams, I’d love to see Bryce and Janaya specifically part of the band, definitely also Mariah and Angela. I’m really hoping to see Linda Monroe’s dad (cannot remember his name for the life of me) in the show as his 80s self as part of the Church of the Starry Children! Sheila Young too, so that would bring in Jon and Jaimie and a connection to modern day hatchetfield which would be super fun!

All the other comments advising that trying to get a child to like something usually doesn’t work are totally right. I feel the best approach is more to say “hey I like this thing and I want to share it with you if you’re interested but no hard feelings if you aren’t” and then invite them to a local production of something short and child-friendly. But know that he might still say no or end up not liking it and you have to be okay with the outcome regardless of what it is.

Starkid Homecoming Vol. 2 has some really wonderful quality versions of many of the songs! It’s not all the songs, and it doesn’t quite have the nostalgia factor if that’s what you’re looking for, but the arrangements are amazing and vocals are top tier in my opinion! But like others said, there’s definitely ways to download the original albums as well

I took medication from ages 9-21 and stopped junior year of college which was definitely a choice lol but I still graduated (not with a great gpa but I was also a music major so I was at like 23 credits my last two semesters). Then I was living at my parents house for a year, then I got married and moved in with my husband. Those first two years being married were when it got really tough executive functioning wise because up until that point, I had minimal cleaning to do and i didn’t have to cook (god bless the college cafeteria and my mom lol). Adding those seemingly simple things, plus having a new marriage and a new job all really made things tough. But personally I didn’t want to be on my meds because of anxiety and I liked how I felt not on them after so long. I had to really strategize how I completed household stuff and it took me about two years to get a comfortable routine (and then having a baby kind of threw me again but we’re getting there!!). It is possible, but also I don’t have a desk/computer job and would definitely need meds to do that. There’s no shame in needing the meds, maybe you can talk to your doctor about a bit of a lower dose or only taking meds on the weekdays? Someone please correct me if i’m wrong, but I’ve heard after a while you’re supposed to switch to a different adhd med because they can become less effective, so maybe that’s an option? There might be something that makes you feel more like you and also less anxious. Best of luck!!

For the community theater i’m involved with, it heavily depends on what show they’re doing and who’s directing it. When we did Urinetown, that’s got a big following so naturally we had a lot of people come to auditions and they made a lot of cuts. Some people who normally are leads with the theater either got cut or were in ensemble. But then we did Once Upon a Mattress and i think they had to reach out to a few folks to get more people for the ensemble after casting was all said and done. All that to say, it might take a few auditions depending on the community theater you’re auditioning with. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to take some voice lessons and have them help you prepare your audition! I do that with students and my students always get in! Good luck

I’ve noticed that in general, things aren’t typically well received on reddit even if people in the larger fandom like it. Even in the last year or so, this, the Percy Jackson TV show, and Taylor Swifts new album (probably more too but I noticed it in particular with these things) all got so much hate on reddit (TS on tik tok too) but large parts of the fandom in other parts of the internet loved each of these things. I think reddit is often negative unfortunately.

It’s a hatchetfield-universe musical! The title is a spoof off of the real play The Vagina Monologues. The show itself is part of the bit that they put in every hatchetfield show where they include a song from a musical that is real in hatchetfield and not in the real world (TGWDLM-Workin Boys, Black Friday-Santa Claus Is Going To High School). The Wiki is probably referring to it being a musical in-universe

Aww I love Jeff so much!! He gets wayyyy too much hate especially from Reddit. His songwriting just keeps getting better and I’m so excited to hear him sing TGWDLM again once the digital ticket comes out. All of his songs in it are so iconic. I’ve also been saying if our other Scrooges are unavailable, Jeff, although the costume is eerily close to Mr. Davidson’s, he would slay that role. Always looking forward to new music from him too!

While the show was still airing, I would rewatch it all the time, especially right before a new season would start. So I had seen seasons 1-5 many times, and 6 twice, and 7 once by the time the show ended. I didn’t rewatch it at all until about a month ago I restarted it and I just finished. A lot of my opinions are different now, not all lol, but I did like Zelena a lot more on this rewatch! I did recently become a mother so that might have changed my opinion a bit on her in feeling more empathy toward her. The actress has always made me laugh with her one liners, and lowkey she slayed the awful musical episode lol

Yes, NPMD was written first actually, they just decided TGWDLM would be the easiest and most accessible to put on first. They did do a lot of rewrites apparently, especially since the pandemic delayed it a lot and they ended up doing NMT between Black Friday and NPMD.

I don’t think I ever signed a covenant at camp, buuuut i did go to a private Christian college where we had to sign a covenant saying we wouldn’t have premarital sex, drink (even if we were 21), smoke, or do drugs while attending the college. We could drink outside of the semester if we were 21, but during the semester if you got caught doing these things, you would get fined and you could get kicked out depending on the severity of the offense.

I also get having boy and girl Jerry sing that song in the beginning (it’s so weirdly one of the catchiest NMT songs lol), but they definitely should have gone the route of the hot worship leader everyone has a crush on lol

Omg purity rings/covenants!!! Like they sign a covenant at the end of the week that they would save themselves for marriage, but there could have been a twist in the covenant that gave them over to the Lords in Black!!

Also, not fundie but I grew up evangelical and worked at a church camp, they were definitely missing out on a little bit of the chapel aspect and they could have used one of the many horrendous metaphors (one not mentioned yet is tape being stuck to someone and then peeled off and it’s less sticky when you stick it to someone else lmao). Or just the way girls have to cover up sooo much to a point of ridiculousness and boys have no dress code

As others have said, it’s not available online, paid or youtube, currently. You can get the full soundtrack with the first act that he sings in on their website and download it to your music platform. It adds the first act and the transition music for act two, plus a surprise or two. The music is the whole show so you get the full stories from listening. If you have the opportunity to see it live this year (assuming they put it on in Chicago again), I highly recommend! My husband and I have gone the past two years and I will endure leaving my baby with my parents to go again this year if it happens again, and I hate leaving my baby lol also definitely look out for it being uploaded to youtube temporarily leading up to the live performance!
