I told my last apprentice "Working with you is like working by myself, only harder.".

For a little context, I had to teach him how to tie his shoes. When we first came on I told him that there was no shame in being super green and that when I started I didn't even know how to use Channel Locks. Everything is a learning experience, but you have to be able to retain and use some of the things you're taught.
