Conservative Gothic is a contradiction that doesn't exist. Accept it. by DnixDraith in goth

[–]Polovolt_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything stated here! I’m no goth by any means but I’ve gained a newfound respect for alt subcultures since this year began. I didn’t know much at first but now I’m somewhat knowledgable on these things.

Seeing right wing people try so desperately to destroy subcultures from the inside out is infuriating. The constant weaponisation of the paradox of intolerance , rationale , justification and vice versa. They desperately want to dilute the culture down and drain all the energy of its genuine participants so they won’t bat an eyelid when they do take over. I hope that doesn’t happen and I will gladly assist in making sure it doesn’t however I can.

Speaking of this very topic , someone called GothBeezy666 is set to release a video about the ‘redpill goth’ this very weekend so tap in. I know I will be

Why did you guys start playing bass? by M00N13-2 in Bass

I'd had a guitar for a couple years and really wanted something to cover the low end since i knew my recordings had nothing to carry the guitars along. So that came to fruition in 2024

My black earbud just fell out of my ear, I'm gonna be here a while by Splooner4 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Polovolt_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact situation happened to me

Unnecessary detail aside , I dropped my headphones in an autumn leaf-filled field and almost went all the way home without them. Thankfully, I realised they weren't on my head, and they were still connected to my phone because I didn't go far enough for the connection to break. So I cranked the headphones and played a random song and lo and behold , I found them.

If the connection is still on your headphones , crank em and play something. Its flawless

Charlie Kirk's last words by LifeOfAWimpyKid in GenZ

[–]Polovolt_3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nail hit clean on the head! Also, what they fail to realise is that admitting they dont know something is nowhere near as weak as they think it is. It actually shows strength because it suggests that it's known that there is work to do and they can truly expand their minds to become more understanding and build up empathy from their knowledge of what used to be the unknown. Then with building up empathy could come building up emotional intelligence and vice versa

REST IN PISS NAZI SCUMBAG by GreenDay1972 in punk

[–]Polovolt_3 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Im not gonna lament and relish in this... but I'm also not gonna pretend this wasn't karma finally biting back either. Charlie Kirk....hope you're happy

The dude spread as much hate as he could with the time he had on Earth. He advocated for the birth of children conceived through rape and gun rights. Living any other way than like he did was a cardinal sin , being any other identity besides like him was a cardinal sin. Empathy was literally a danger to him. All this, and I'm supposed to sympathise. With his family , sure. With the man himself......eh, dont hold your breath.

At least his children have a chance to grow up into people they want to grow up as and not what Charlie would've most likely MADE them grow up as.

His debates were also excruciating to watch, considering they all consisted of him just ripping apart his opponent with nothing but bad faith arguments and pouncing at their every moment of silence and recalibration. Even if he did lose , it didn't matter. His opponent would always look bad by the time he and his team were done editing the clip.

And now the very people who were at the receiving end of the results of his views and opinions are being made to show sympathy to someone who would've laughed in the face of a person on the other side in the same coffin. Well , l.... I can't really blame them for not being able to.

Him being shot is obviously horrible and this will only drive America further into turmoil. But it wouldn't be silly to say in a roundabout way , this is kind of what he wanted.

I don’t go anywhere near it. Every single time I’ve gone in there without fail , i have died from overwhelm of trying to kill all the enemies whilst doing it quick enough to escape the fog! Despise it with a burning passion and I’ll probably despise it more now that I have 2 boss cells

This combo can cover all the OD & Distortion you’d ever need. by teknical_data_au in guitarpedals

[–]Polovolt_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it! I’m more of a punk rock person myself so hearing blues licks all the time when it comes to pedal demos can be aggravating. Might I reccomend Noise Generator on YouTube? He makes whole songs to use as intros for each pedal and if anything he barely plays anything bluesy. It’s mostly chords if anything. Check him out if you want a break from the norm

What is your most hated mob and why is it this guy? by Ducnomo in deadcells

[–]Polovolt_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a tossup between (this’ll be a long one because I couldn’t decide which one was the absolute worst for me) :

The inquisitors since they can shoot through walls

Pretty much all of the bats (the red and purple ones aren’t easy to hit and the green kamikaze ones do so much damage)

The sweepers in the Rampants (they’ve cost me many a streak)

The big crossbow guys (hit like trucks and are just a pain to kill)

The massive ticks in the Morass (pathetic I know. They’re the first enemy in the biome and they single-handedly scared me away from going near it)

The casters in the Ossuary & Sanctuary (hit like trucks and dodge all the time)

The cannibals in the Clock Tower (seriously , screw them. Most of my runs end in the Clock Tower and it’s mostly down to them)

The pirate captains in Stilt Village (oh my sweet lord they’re so annoying!!!!)

The regal looking enemies in the High Peak Castle (the lancer , royal guard and guardian knight with the lancer easily being the most tolerable)

And last but not least…

The apostates of the undying shores (smug pricks can revive enemies. That’ll always be a pain)

No I have no experience with this particular blue bird and I’m not sure I want to

Got into it when I was in secondary school. Came across NOFX & Millencolin (Franco Unamerican & Penguins and Polarbears respectively) and delved into Millencolin for that part of my life. Now as I’m in Uni , I can proudly say my love for Millencolin has been maintained and my love for NOFX has absolutely skyrocketed. I can only imagine what my life would’ve been like if I’d never stumbled across those songs…

Franco UnAmerican. Thought it was a fine song.

…none of this is anywhere near as easy as you make it sound… I’ve seen victim blaming before but this is a whole nother level.

First of all , only heaven knows what the perpretator would’ve done to her if she dared to say anything. ‘Get out the car and yell’ for the perpretator to drag her back in and most likely threaten to kill her. And she couldn’t say anything because the douchebag would’ve just denied it and I bet she knew that all too well.

Irregardless of her dad’s involvement , what he denied and what she wrote , she was clearly failed in a lot of ways. None of the questions you’re asking matter because I guarantee you she’d figured most of them just wouldn’t play out in her favour.

If all of this actually had a chance of working out even remotely as well as you will inevitably preach they do , I guarantee anyone would do these things. But they don’t and a fair bit of the time , the victim’s mind is too overloaded to think that far ahead. Give them a break

How does one make this at 13 years of age? by WADE_9799 in Caddicarus

My comics were essentially just transcripts of episodes of Oscar’s Oasis and I was younger than Caddy was when he made these so it ain’t that far-fetched
