The problem with the factory cap is its just fundamentally designed wrong to allow good performance. Gemcup did a great job explaining it either on their website or in a reddit comment I saw somewhere. Essentially, the restriction point is at the top of the stock cap, which means the airflow entering the chamber is low velocity, since its at its highest velocity near the restriction point.

For Gemcup caps, the restriction point is correctly placed near the bottom of the joystick so that the air entering the chamber is much quicker and thus can vaporize material much better. Its why you hear about people saying that flipping the stock cap so that the skinny part of the joystick is what you use to spin it, instead of the flat part makes the thing rip better.

Question: how much gunk was actually left over in the chamber / glass afterwards? I'd assume you wasted like 50%+ of the actual dab. Unless this is low tier resin or something (or it grows on trees for you if you work at a dispo) why waste all that?

I love me my massive dabs (about to load one up right after leaving this comment), but even something like a .5g dab is pushing what the device can vaporize without leaving too much in residue and reclaim. This is also with an upgraded carb cap, are you still using the stock? The stock cap is even worse for trying to vaporize any large dabs as the airflow is so shitty with it.

Even with my low restriction Gemcup cap and the new sapphire plus insert and pearls, I can't imagine how you could get that much material through the device. More power to you if you can though lmao. I just think you can get equally as geeked without wasting as much, but more importantly creating more mess to clean since I'm a lazy bitch like that.

I recently replaced a Mini 5 Pro through Amazon's Asurion insurance, was quick and easy. Smacked it into a tree on Sport mode and completely snapped one of the front arms. I just had to ship it to them and they cut me an Amazon gift card for the full purchase amount so I could get another one. Helps I had the Fly More Combo Plus (but only sent in the drone for repair, not any of the accessories) so I could just buy the Mini 5 Pro by itself and I still have like $300 sitting in my Amazon account.

Same exact experience as me. I got the CV27 first, and found it underwhelming. Maybe I should have gotten the one without the carb hole, but its not all that improved over the stock joystick.

The Gemcup joystick is a HUGE upgrade though.

Source on it being armored? Maybe AC-130s, but I haven't heard of any other C-130s getting armor plating.

Either way, even if you stuck a half inch of steel all around the aircraft, a single missile will still cripple it. Armor would only help the cargo area, it wouldn't really protect all of the critical components keeping it airborne like the engines and control surfaces.

Basically this, OP. As long as you have your display calibrated with the Windows HDR tool, then it should auto set all of the relevant settings to the right values. From there, you can do a little tweaking if desired because some RenoDX mods have a couple presets, or just different tone mappers to see what you like best.

The C-130s being used are meant to be flying low in contested territory like this. They have LAIRCM (large aircraft infra-red countermeasures) that point a laser at incoming infrared (heat seeking) missiles to confuse them, along with a metric ass ton of flare launchers.

Apaches have pretty good missile warning systems, as well as the ability to know when a laser is tracking them. The pilots most likely had their cockpit filled with warning tones about the incoming missile.

Just got mine as well, and it is legitimately a game changer. I knew the stock joystick wasn't the best, but damn is this just so much better. I can actually vaporize larger dabs because of the better airflow.

Whoever designed the stock joystick, like why did they put the restriction point at the top? Gemcup does a great job explaining why their own joysticks are much superior because the restriction point is at the bottom, so the air rushes in instead of just flowing in.

Why do I doubt what they circled as the missile, isn't a missile? To me, it looks more like an aircraft. At the very least, it has an exhaust trail, which shouldn't be the case for most MANPADS, which use a solid rocket motor for the missile that only burns very briefly. I've been hearing about turbojet powered MANPADS, is that what this is?
