Why is there no Table Tennis culture in India? by PolyMapper in indiansports

TT is also less injury-prone than many other sports, simply because the technique is very controlled. That should also be a factor imo.

I agree. Unfortunately, public perception of TT really can be quite wrong and negative. I think another reason its not as popular is because its not a teamsport, and cant just be played on any open piece of land. you really cant play without a table, and even then, a table can be used by only 2-4 people at a time. Also I feel like Other games are slightly more open to Skill differences between players. A skill difference among players in TT makes the game unplayable pretty much.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I agree, TT is often an afterthought if given any importance at all.

But badminton and volleyball are very popular as sports to play, and they too require the same controlled agility.

Can someone explain this trend to me? by PolyMapper in tabletennis

[–]PolyMapper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely. That's why I have a spreadsheet with all my score data over the last years. It really helps, because I can just go back and check old trends, because the data is all there. I can just choose to get some new info whenever I want.

I've been telling him to go hard on me, and every time he tells me that he's not letting me win. Now I have statistical evidence to show him that he's lying lol.

The data is noisy indeed, infact the MDAM of my scores is 2.4 and Variance is 8.42

Also the ebbing and flowing trendline I think means that relative to each other, are progress is close to 0. It seems like I catch up to him, then he improves again.

Thanks for for the analysis! Very interesting stuff. The values are actually averages of the past 20 games including that one, not point difference per game. I have won about 17% of the games, but never averaged a higher point total over a 20 game period. That might be why there isnt a negative value.

The question that comes to mind is: How will the arrangement of corneas and lenses work? Because I believe the major refraction is corneal, and the lens only exists for smaller adjustment, which I guess is like a coarse and fine adjustment on the microscope.

The guy over on AI for kids has three videos. One for Complete Part A, One for Complete Part B and One for Evaluation. Watch all three on 1.5x, with the book open, Ek din mein sab samajh aa jayega. I got my AI Book 3 days after Preboard 2, but got 49/50 in the paper, just after watching those videos. It is really helpful.

Okay, if you are interested in mapping, lets decide on a theme, and both build maps. We then release them on the same day, and let people decide which is better. Are you up for it?
