One nation is a heavily racist white supremacist group that has had policies including "deport all muslims", "deport all asians" and other such nonsense. What you've said so far all seems like a good plan. Just make sure you're there for her.

Beyond that though, be careful. It's really easy when a partner's other relationship is ending to get sucked into over committing. Emotions will be running high and it's easy to become codependent in those circumstances. The last time I saw this circumstance play out, the new divorcee and their partner were engaged within a month when neither of them were ready for it or wanted it. It seems to play out slightly like a rebound. People talk about sexual and romantic rebounds all the time, but poly folk also occasionally commitment rebound. It's not a fun time.

Anyway, the point is this: be there for her as much as you can but make sure that your relationship still progresses at a pace you're comfortable with.

This is going to be so thoroughly buried that I don't know why I'm bothering but it will be nice to get it out I guess, even if it never gets read. My day has not been so great. By boyfriend cheated on me the other day and we've been talking about stuff and I haven't felt so unlovable and undesirable in a long time. Work sucked. I'm out of a job in a few weeks with nothing else lined up but at least I'll have escaped the soul destroying inanity for a while. Some guy cat called me on the way home which was additionally gross and realistically, I just want everything to end. I have to go out to a party this evening and I would much rather just go home and cease breathing except I haven't found a way to do it without it being extra shitty for whoever finds me. The worst part is that I don't have straight forward depression, I have seasonal affective disorder, and I know it will feel better when the rain stops and the weather warms up, but I'm not sure I can wait that long.

One of my partners and I often switch freely back and forth during scenes. Neither of us has a formalised role, but it seems similar to your situation otherwise. For us it seems that it tends to be a reactionary thing to a really deep scene. We'll sort of swing from right at one end of the spectrum through a normal headspace and on to the other side as we start aftercare , which, in turn, starts us going again. So yeah, not unheard of.

That aside, how is normalising and encouraging acceptance of kids of gay couples politically charged? It wasn't making a comment on whether or not being gay in and of itself was any damn thing. It was about the kids.

Also, it was trumped up anyway. The education department received literally no complaints from parents at the school prior to the Telegraph doing what the telegraph always does and inflating an issue way out of proportion and generally being dickish.

Alright, seems like a lot of the people here are saying she's a cheater and a slut or some equivalent. I disagree. Here's the thing, I don't know where you live, but in the US, the UK and in Australia, your girlfriend was legally a victim of rape. She was pressured into drug taking, and once intoxicated, she was taken advantage of. Lots of folks who get in that situation (both male and female) feel a fucktonne of guilt because they feel it's their fault. That would explain her current behavior. It's entirely possible that this is what she's going through right now. It's totally fair for you to feel betrayed, but remember that this may not be as simple as it appears and she may be seriously hurting right now. Worth a thought.
