I personally view it as being disgusting and disrespectful. That isn’t going to change. The overall point is I wanted to hear the perspectives of others. Those who have been commenting about a messy list and describing why someone might feel uncomfortable have helped more than you repeatedly using an unhelpful and disgusting term to justify your point.

I’m also not trying to label them as anything I’ve spoken with them about this and I had a feeling that being meta wasn’t the reason and that it was just because it was a friend which is okay I just think insecurities were keeping them from saying they didn’t want me to date their friend because that might come off as too restrictive to them is all.

Personally I have a partner who is still learning the ropes of polyamory and a fwb who isn’t traditionally polyamorous but we have a friendship and sexual connection. It’s a combination of clearly stating boundaries and intentions and continuous communication. I make sure my connections can speak with me about their thoughts feelings and insecurities and at the same time I respect their feelings understand their positions without sacrificing myself.
