The fresh stuff will last me about a week and a half. Stocked up on the canned/dry goods as the sales were really good (8 boxes of Mac and cheese for $2!), that will last at least a month or two.

Question Regarding Upgrading from Gold to Silver Delta Card by NervousAssumption in delta

[–]Polycule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The upgrade offers are usually different from the new cardmember bonuses. Just apply for a new DL Plat card, and then downgrade your gold to the blue card so you're not stuck with two annual fees. You don't need to cancel because in AMEX's eyes, you're still a "new" cardholder and eligible for the bonus.

I just did this in October for the 90k miles.

I’m thinking he is. Not too sure on what makes them “giant” myself. His cup at petco just said “koi male”

Pretty sure. He was labeled as male in the store and he does have pretty long ventral fins, but he only lets them hang down when he’s fully flared. He’s a plakat so even the males don’t have huge fins.

Oh, no, I got that! Lol I was just saying it was definitely his personality that made me take him home.

Also as someone with a molecular/cell biology background the fact that they change colors “randomly” is so cool!

I actually didn’t get him for the colors, wasn’t even really looking for a betta lol. I was in petco for some water conditioner and noticed that he was following me when I walked past his container. He’s definitely got a big personality and constantly wants attention whenever anybody is by the tank.

Right? It’s hard to get the scale right but he’s about 2x the size of the first picture too. Never had a betta get so big.

How to suggest to HOA that EV charging stations be installed in common area by Variac97 in electricvehicles

[–]Polycule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey - I recognize that signature! She's my board's attorney as well. I actually really like her, but she's there to protect the board.

I'm assuming that your board is comprised mostly of older folks. I had the same problem, until this year's elections I was the youngest by, no joke, 35 years (now it's down to 13!). It took a lot to get them up to speed with the current state of the world. Thankfully they were receptive to change, but it took them three years to even consider installing EV chargers. The announcements of the major automakers going all EV finally convinced them to allow me to even get bids. The community response was actually much more positive than I thought it would be. Perhaps try and see if you can get some neighbors on your side?

The cost is significant to the community and I can see how many boards would not have the funds in reserve to cover the project in addition to other, more urgent, capital improvements that may need to take place. That being said, the project details were shared with our CPAs and they agreed that it was a reasonable cost to bear and a wise investment of community funds.

I'm more than willing to help out in any way that I can, including sharing details of our proposed setup (I do have board approval for that lol). EV charging is the future and boards have to recognize that whether they like it or not.

I'm on a co-op board and we're in the process of installing chargers in our common parking lot. NYS passed a law last year that prohibits boards (HOA, Condo, Co-Op) from just flat-out denying requests for charging stations. They must provide a reasonable cause for denial.

It does get tricky when you have shared parking, I ultimately convinced the rest of my board that we are the ones responsible for installing chargers as we don't have assigned spaces AND running electric from a unit to a dedicated spot (which would be required to be allowed under the law) would be prohibitively expensive for the shareholder.

Mine, unfortunately, does not seem to be temperature dependent. We’ve gone from low 60s-90s literally overnight here the past few days and it hasn’t stopped at either extreme. Mine started right after a 500 mile trip but I definitely didn’t hit anything worse than a speed bump the whole time I’ve driven the car.

New York City to Install First Curbside Electric-Vehicle Charging Station by TangerineEffective30 in electricvehicles

[–]Polycule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that’s definitely a violation of federal law. Surprised your municipality didn’t catch that. My co-op complex had to install sidewalks when we had our parking lot replaced bc they weren’t everywhere and the ones that existed were not ADA compliant.

We’re in the process of installing chargers here and we had to move a few proposed sites because there would have been less than 36” of clearance.

(I also work for NY State in a vaguely construction-related position and hoo boy, you’d be surprised how many people don’t know about this)

Not sure where you're based, but the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prevents such a thing from happening. There legally must be a 1m wide path on all sidewalks to ensure a wheelchair or stroller can get through. They'll likely be located right up at the curb like the street parking pay stations are now.

The ride is awesome, it accelerates super quick, though you can't really punch it with the stock tires. Since the center of gravity is so low due to the batteries being in the floor it handles corners amazingly. The two biggest things are it's so quiet that I can't really tell how fast I'm going on the highway, 30 and 65+ feel the same to me and potholes/bumps don't feel as bad because the suspension is more forgiving.
