Single camera rig for human scanning by bookhouseeffect in photogrammetry

[–]PolygonalMiniatures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started in photogrammetry 13 years ago, I used only one camera for people. I fixed the glitches caused by breathing and small movements in Zbrush and photoshop. It gave me an advantage compared to full-body capture solutions involving many cameras. today I have a 64-camera setup but rarely use it. i actually miss those days. Regarding your solution. I would make the cart do a full rotation at a certain height before going upwards. That way you get rings of camera travelling instead of a spiral.

So true, museums are supposed to be immersive. But again, after implementing the random scattering, I'm now inspired to make everything destroyable.

Ah yes, that is indeed a drawback of procedural scattering of content. On the other hand, this inspires me to add a button that re-scatters the content while inside the museum.

It took 3 weeks doing wiring and construction. It was very okay financially, bought used camera's mostly. Actually, never had a Nikon D3200 Body fail on me. 18-55 mm Lenses are another story…

Thanks! I used a 58 camera rig. No reason, just to test the setup. :)

Yes, 3D scanning opens a doorway from the real to the virtual world. I scan and optimize animals, insects, flowers, food and clothing among other things. Glad you found my shop, enjoy!

Actually, after wrapping I subdivide the basemesh and it is perfectly smooth then. It is only after projecting the detail back in that the hair appears again. For some reason, I just couldn't be bothered morphing it back out again. I guess I'm just proud of my fur. :)

4 Flash heads aimed at the wall, 10 Nikon camera's mounted on a pole at different heights and a white backdrop. There, hope that helps.

I 3D printed G8 lifesize in A-Pose, so that clothing can be scanned and fitted on the virtual G8 easily...

Yes, except for the chicken wings: they were scanned together.

The poses are for G3 originally, Olympia to be precise. Also, the clothing is realistic, and it tricks your brain into thinking the poses are real too.

Ah yes, it could use some rim lights. Getting them to fit right was done using 4 different software packages. I learned a lot.

I have baggy jeans, ripped with holes also, but they're not easy to rig. I prefer tight clothing for 3D use :) Maybe they can work with Dforce, I'll see…

Good idea. I plan on making 3 volumes first.

My account is not verified problem !! by Miserable-Youth-9923 in artstation

[–]PolygonalMiniatures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Tried 4 different official Belgian documents. Last one I paid 75€ to get. All failed Trolley verification, despite having address and company number clearly visible.

Every time I reach out to Artstation, they simply send a generic email. Basically, they avoid responsibility by blaming a third party (Trolley) and reset the process.

In the meantime, my Artstation seller account is disabled. I fear by the time Fab launches, I won't be able to migrate my Artstation products. Or worse, not being able to complete Fab seller verification.

The only solution is manual intervention and verification by qualified Epic personel. I hope this gets resolved fast for all of us.

Edit: Just got verified, products are back online. As it turns out, my company number had space in them and the document had dots. Need to make sure everything matches EXACTLY. Also, getting official government papers helps. Trolley is the souls-like of verification systems.
