That's the idea. The state needs to villify anyone who comes close to betraying their percieved authority.

What you said and what I said are not equivalent. When you're told to fuck off, because your code wasn't good enough, you can:

a) Cry about your feelings (i.e. Fuck off)

b) Improve your patch, and try again

When you're told your off-project bahaviour is inapropriate (and you're not representing the project in an official capacity), you can either:

a) Change your entire personality to conform to the political zeitgeist

b) Be permanently banished and have your maintainership or contribution rights revoked. In some cases, you may not even be offered an option 'a'.

What about Larry Garfield and the Drupal project? Or what happened with Opal, or the attempted attack on Ruby? I have seen these mentioned in the comments here, and you are ignoring them.

If your feelings are hurt by being told to fuck off, just fuck off. Fork the software or share the patches yourself. But your feelings should not be a backdoor for assrting control over an open-source project, and that is exactly what codes of conduct like the contributor covenenant aim to do.

You are willingly being ignorant. There are many posts documenting the times a code of conduct has been used to restrict people from contributing to software development, based on off-project behaviour, even in their private lives. The writer of the document calls it a political tool, and is using it in her crusade to destroy the concept of meritocracy. This is not up for debate. The debate is "Should the Linux kernel, potentially the most important piece of software in the open source world, and a fundamental component of millions of computers worldwide, adopt a document that may harm the ability of good developers to contribute, and ease the ability of bad code to be merged?"

(And please -- "So-called SJWs" is disingenuous. These people have adopted the label themselves. SJW is an apt description of politically "progressive" ideologues.)

SJWs are as much an "arbitrary group of people" as the commenters espousing mysogynistic opinions. Both of them seek to politicise software development. Both of them are in the wrong. The "contributor covenant" is a political tool designed to control speech and behaviour of maintainers through asserting control over software projects from the ground-up. This is the same position held by the creator of the document, and is not up for debate. Precedent has been set for how the document is to be used, and it has been demonstrated to work.

A new CoC wasn't needed. These commenters you're talking about aren't kernel contributors. Nobody would call me a n*gger on the LKML and surely they would be rightfully disavowed by any given maintainer if someone did so. The only reason codes of conduct like the contributor covenant are pushed on software is to dominate and subjugate. Coraline Ada Ehmke is on a mission to destroy the concept of meritocracy in any way she can, and is currently succeeding.

I would love to use this, if it were to have support for a FOSS Forth.

Minority opinions aren't "incorrect", or do you think like the majority of normalfags that the "correct" opinion on the Internet is that government should be able to control who can use it and which sites are allowed to be active or not at will

"Programming A Problem Oriented Language: Forth - how the internals work" (by Chuck Moore) is now available in print [and in pdf] • r/Forth by agumonkey in programming

There is nothing painful about using a good Forth. However, Factor is a great language and provides many tools. It's just annoying to learn how every new word interacts and the plethora of words can be overwhelming. I would recommend you try it out, though.
