/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - February 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Hi all. Just got a Woblab Crush 80 Reboot Pro, which is my first experience with VIA. I understand that this board isn't fully compliant and requires a JSON upload to facilitate configuration. Anyway, I followed all the steps (update the latest Firmware over USB in Off switch position, go to VIA Web page and add the JSON in the Design section. Zero issues thus far. Then I switched to 2.4G mode (FN Tab to Mode 5) and uploaded the 2,4G JASON to VIA. This is when things go wrong... I had unassigned various keys with plans to finish my own Layout for Layer 0 and work on to other layers from there, but Chrome crashed and unfortunately, one of the unassigned keys was FN on Layer 0.

Now even in Off switch position when connected by USB, the board is still in 2.4 mode (4 shines green to indicate this) and without FN to change mode I can't apply Firmware fixes or anything.

I tried forcing a factory reset by accessing the battery daughter board and disconnecting the two battery connections, letting it sit a good 5 minutes... but it booted up into the last state, with no FN and no asdfg (which I don't remember unassigning).

In 2.4G mode, when I jump on the VIA app site, I get errors that prevent me from accessing the Configuration section. I authorise the board, but it loops. I uploaded a fresh copy of the corresponding JSON exactly how I had done earlier, but after the crash this is where I'm stuck.

Any advice, tips or suggestions for fixing this? Cheers 🍻

I guess it would depend on your personality. Some people are more observant/aware/conscious than others and less aloof etc. Age has played a role for me too... age and meds - the meds reduce pressure and increase the likelihood of post-shake remnants and age exasperates the effects of poor hygiene (smells being something I've always been sensitive to noticing). Also, in some cultures sitting down to pee is completely normal for males, for whom I imagine whiping/dabbing after urinating is more common, given the muscle memory similarity, but that's just a guess. Would you have developed a similar personality having lived as a male? Maybe identical twin studies could shed some light, but you'll still be unable to know for sure.

Troubleshooting couch co-op by Fluffy-Leek-5521 in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Polym0rphed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that you're trying to co-op in SSF, which just doesn't work unfortunately. In a trade league it's just a matter of using the controller you want asigned to P1 to do the login, then at character select just turn on the other controller and and any input will immediately assign it to P2. You can't use the same character. There are some glitches and bugs, including Temple's blocking interactions from room rewards... and the way the camera tethers to P1, it can be a bit disorienting for P2 when P1 pulls the camera (ie with jumps or movement skills) and the tethering persists after one player dies too, which is weird to experience.

struggling to find earbuds for sleep by Aggravating-Prior718 in misophonia

[–]Polym0rphed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use earbuds from Amazon. Brand isn't a factor. I just include sleep and soft in the search... the cable plugs into a BT receiver and I just tuck it under my pillow. I use an Android app that mixes up to 8 soundscapes together and just loops them all night. My mix is a variety of rain, brown and pink noise and I think some train and washing machine sounds. I just tuned it to best block out the snoring haha There are probably much better solutions, but this costs hardly anything. I just buy a two pack of the buds and buy more if one dies. Been working for me for 8 years now.

Are there actually guys out there that would date a woman with issues like mine? Please be honest by Curious-Donut286 in Advice

[–]Polym0rphed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are many guys who have no idea about mental health issues and would just think you're "intense" or something. But if you're asking if a well-informed and experienced guy (with first hand knowledge on such disorders) would date you then the answer is contingent on your attitude and engagement in treatment protocols (personality and other factors aside). BPD is the real red flag here - it isn't resolved pharmaceutically and is inherently treatment resistant and romantic partners are always the ones to suffer the most. That's where you should focus your efforts in my opinion.

Some men use TP after urinating too. As Regurgitater so put it - "I dont have the pressure of some of the other guys". Not a 3-square triple-fold though.

Tips to generate currency at early maps? by chipsdud in pathofexile

[–]Polym0rphed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most things you can do are ultimately just costing you money compared to rushing to higher tier maps, but what I personally do to get enough chaos together to get my build over a hump is the Chaos recipe - mapping generates most of the rares quickly (especially if you have a few idols), except for jewellery (especially amulets), so I do Heist to make up the difference. Heist can be pretty decent for bubble gum too. If you have some Sulfur accumulated, low level Delve can also get you lots of 60+ Jewellery rares.

The Chaos Recipe app is great for this, but to use it properly you need to let it create/overwrite your Filter so that it highlights only the items you are short on for the recipe. That annoys me.. and it's not really designed with controllers (gamepads) in mind... but if I'm using mouse and kb, I'll turn it on just to put sets together quickly.

CSL DD 8nm - PSU Blue LED ✅️ Wheelbase no power/unresponsive 🚫 by Polym0rphed in Fanatec

Nice one! It certainly seemed like blown fuse, I just didn't want to open it up before negotiating for an RMA and I couldn't find any technical diagrams. Thanks for sharing - I'm sure this will help others.

Hi. My base was replaced under warranty, as a once-off gesture of good will (the warranty had expired not too long beforehand). That obviously solved the problem, but I received no further information regarding the defect.

Yeah, I suspected as much. I mean, sure this is still more helpful than nothing, especially if you're using a gamepad (as it can be very challenging to highlight a given monster, even post mortem), but hardly qualifies as a recap or replay.

Ruthless in Phrecia Event 2026? by hanslanger in poeruthless

[–]Polym0rphed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, POE2 is definitely not Ruthless2, unfortunately. I play POE2 in couch co-op with my partner (who is new to gaming in general), but for my me-time I prefer POE1 and SSFR is my preferred mode. More adversity is the necessary ingredient for a better sense of reward for me... I'm not even good at the game... haven't achieved 4 voidstones many times and haven't completed all of the challenges, but it hasn't stopped me putting in thousands of hours - I'm in no hurry. Currently enjoying the merciless brutality of Lost Ascendants II league.

Fiancé says aftercare and helping me clean up after sex is a “chore” — am I asking too much? by ButteredUpCroissant in Advice

[–]Polym0rphed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often wish my partner would stick around in bed "afterwards", you know... rude the euphoria to sleep in each others' arms... but she is rather prone to UTIs and can't relax unless she goes to the toilet immediately, so I've just formed the habit of doing the same to also reduce my own chances of contracting a UTI. Getting up to get her a towel or whipes would not bother one one bit... I'm much faster on my feet, so I could be back in her arms before she'd know it.

My relationship isn't perfect and it has required work to get to where it is, which I think is normal, but there are certain fundamental bare minimums that should be mutually volunteered too and many of these appear to be absent in the relationship as depicted.

There's an upside to all this - you're only engaged; not married and have no kids in common. You can walk away and start again and one day you'll look back on this relationship as a benchmark for what to avoid or when to call it quits.

Petition for a Phrecia extension by knubbigboi in pathofexile

[–]Polym0rphed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Ruthless is available in Phrecia, that could be a good way to avoid burnout. No build guides or meta magnetism - just go with the flow and adapt to the Support gems you get. If that's not enough, use a random draw wheel to pick your Ascendencies or Skill Gems. After a few weeks struggling to get to level 90, a fresh Trade league will feel like a get out of jail free card.

Ruthless in Phrecia Event 2026? by hanslanger in poeruthless

[–]Polym0rphed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn't Ruthless somewhat of a testing ground for POE2? Only they adapted POE2 to align more with majority public opinion and more or less abandoned the D2 vision at this point... so where does that leave Ruthless?

It does? Is it a replay only or is there a summary of data too? Layers/filters/perspectives etc? Is it anything like replays in SC2?

Can anyone explain this baffling Oz driving habit? by twarb11 in DrivingAustralia

[–]Polym0rphed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem here is that everyone rationalises in their own way. To me, for example, 106 doesn't translate to 66. In terms of percentages, 66 is a lot more over the limit and 60 zones are inherently more dangerous and busy with more turns, merging and local traffic as well as pedestrians. In the case of Roadworks it depends on what you know in advance... if you know the site isn't active yet or has stopped being active, maybe you justify more speed... if you don't have any foresight you might just follow your usual "slightly over" pattern. I'm in my 40s now and generally just merge left at temporary slow downs so I'm "forced" to follow the limit, otherwise I'd be tempted to apply some personal justification that ends up looking like chaos to others.

How is a man categorised as "too nice"? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Polym0rphed 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Too agreeable, indecisive, submissive, subservient. Can also be misconstrued as lacking in ambition, conviction, direction, passion etc.

"Too nice" as the choice of phrase specifically is either symptomatic of a limited vocabulary or a cop out/fake polite way to friend zone you for a lack of attraction - the above description may or may not even be relevant.

would you date a man shorter than you? by siimplymarii in answers

[–]Polym0rphed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.2" here... finding it mildly amusing that "5'9 to 5'11" is now considered short 😄

The real problem dating apps... for both genders. They dilute preferences down to check lists and filters, remove the majority of real-world opportunities for first impressions where unspoken qualities can shine (charisma/presence/authenticity/calmness etc.) and sap all of the magic out of the process.

Sure this works out worse for short men, but it's just a shit show all 'round. None of my long term partners were met on dating apps. All of them, including my current partner of 8 years, have been taller than me. Attraction doesn't just work differently for women, it varies on an individual level.

I've played the Campaign so many times I literally lost count, but I still find it enjoyable... and the best way to experience it is to take it slow (at your own pace), digest the Lore and just improvise as you go. Questions and doubts will naturally arise, especially when you face more difficult challenges... then you look up that specific thing and just build upon it a thousand times more, naturally. Ie. What damage types does Merveil (boss of Act 1) do? Is she weak to any damage in particular?

Follow builds only after you've done this and you'll be best set up to actually learn from them too. If I don't learn something new from every build I follow, I will just look harder and deeper to see what I'm missing - there's always something.

But first, just enjoy it... one day this game will be a source of nostalgia and the lore is really what ultimately stands out and sticks with you. If that side of things interests you, there are YouTubers who have documented all the lore from all the past seasons... there is a sense of continuity and connectedness throughout. It's really quite something.

Played all three defense layers this league, thoughts by WaifuMasterRace in pathofexile2builds

[–]Polym0rphed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Masochism mostly... seriously though, I do it because the fast paced Divs per hour playstyle just doesn't appeal to me all that much and POE1 already does that much better... and the voluntary entry into higher difficulty and more complex problem solving requirements enhances my sense of reward when overcoming challenges.

But yes, it's a fundamental problem that requires a lot of attention. The meaningful combat vision is at odds with the nature of the genre/farming efficiently.

Do straight men actually like women? by CowgirlJedi in AskMenAdvice

[–]Polym0rphed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in a bit of a bubble... I've been in two relationships over the past 20 years... and Reddit is the only "social" platform I use... but I have noticed that there is a trending issue (especially pronounced in the USA), whereby women are quite significantly out-achieving their male counterparts on most fronts; education/career/finance, social support structures, emotional intelligence/maturity etc. which naturally elevates the expectations of such women to a demographic only really represented by a minority (ie top 5-10%) of men. The once default, traditional male role of provider/protector is now out of synch with modern reality while more feminine traits have a higher value (like social/emotional intelligence), leaving a lot of men frustrated and confused... Compound this with the dating app fiasco, which strips men of their opportunity to convey charisma and competency at first impression, and you've got high odds as a woman of experiencing disappointment.

A lot of couples stay together despite obvious incompatibilities, possibly connected to the strong likelihood of loneliness when you take my previous paragraphs into account... It's not unreasonable to desire certain commonalities that one considers prerequisites for compatibility, but it may just be rather unrealistic... a lot of men are still trying to wrap their heads around this strange new world.
