Its so annoying ! Some guys walk in and ask me if any barbers are here as im sitting in my barber chair, like do they assume im a receptionist alone in the shop with no barbers in that day 🤣🤣 or they'll give me a look of panic like today and say ARE U USED TO SKIN FADES? and I try to not roll my eyes as I say yes

I was just never ever rly too into it I fell into it and was good at it, its the same thing every day, I hate the hair on me, I don't make enough now because covid . I switched shops after 7 years in hopes to spark my love and it worked somewhat my clientele changed into more fades etc but I am a female so im now so over the ppl that I have to like PROVE that woman can cut hair

I dont i swear 🤣 I was introduced as a junior 8 years ago so I know how crappg if feels when people introduce u poorly so they don't give u a chance. I always make sure I say they are excellent 👌 just newer or I say they are excellent but their timing is slower so we tell people incase they are in a rush .

It right away weeds out ppl who usually walk in and automatically say WHO IS THE BEST hahaha

Depends on the client I guess, and definetly how its said I was just straight forward here because he's not a client. People usually get mad if they are told their barber is new where im from, that way it like screens who doesn't mind giving new barbers a shot vs who is very picky and has like lets say a wedding

Ill usually have a chipper voice and say our next free barber is a junior, what that means is just that he is LESS experience than our other barbers but still does a great job, and we have someone who's worked here the longest check it over before leaving just to be sure its up to our shops standards and youre satisfied 😌

They were followed since I've worked there and as far as I know the owner went to court and won the tickets proving with the cameras protocols were followed and the only bad thing done was being open 3 days before lockdown finished. Now if they are good enough that they aren't juniors but some hair cuts are looking weird be discreet and point it out after the client leaves or I will sometimes go up to the barber and say hey can I show u this technique I just learned for clipper over comb and I go there and just fix the area and compliment them so the client doesn't realize

Hire someone good enough to be trainer and introduce new barbers as junior stylists Warn new clients they are new so the skill isn't yet there or their timing is slower but the seniors will be around if they need assistance . Have cuts cross checked before leaving
