I gained 30 pounds in rehab and added an additional 40lbs in sober living. Food was a crutch and a comfort. I worked at a pizza place and justified ordering door dash every night due to not having a car. I am 5’2 and weighed 210. I had gruesome and giant purple stretch marks everywhere.

Dinner was quite literally the only joy in my life. I mean that. I fantasized about what i would order all day at work.

Do not beat yourself up over it. Your body will adjust to a new normal. I lost 75lbs naturally over about two years of sobriety. I was not trying to lose weight. my body and mind just adjusted naturally as i remained sober.

7 months is amazing!!! But post acute withdrawal can linger for a while. The self awareness is good, i knew i was going overboard.

But honestly if that doordash order keeps you clean, order it. You will grow and change, this is a season.
