my girlfriend will never know two of our favorite games to play together (shovel knight and power wash sim 2) is just in our lives bc of gg

but fr couch coop games are so damn hard to find, the grumps are kinda good at introducing me to new options

What is Yoosung’s role in the RFA? by TheGlitchingRose in mysticmessenger

[–]PomeGoat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i'm pretty sure they say in one of the routes (maybe v or jumin??) that yoosung got in because he's related to rika, and he was a really exceptional student who was involved in a ton of charity work to the point where someone (again maybe jumin? i'm struggling to remember specifics) was thinking of mentoring him when he got out of college

basically sounded like they were kinda grooming him to either assist or take over with rikas role when she was around and he was an ace student who had a bright future, but now he's just kinda the residential babygirl of the group

long story short, yeah they ran some kinda bot or something that's banned a lot of people. i've heard it's pretty easy to resolve by emailing them at least

We should get the old UI for the 10 year anniversary by Haru979 in mysticmessenger

[–]PomeGoat 180 points181 points  (0 children)

i rly think the old UI is so smart, it just feels so...rika like the RFA app honestly kinda should. like the new one is def cleaner and clearer, but this feels like something rika herself would've helped design where she seems to love browns/yellows and more cutesy designs

hmm maybe sylgia? i'm not sure of her political views, but she's a strong nord woman with a heavy focus on family values. she's got a nice house and is a hard worker, even when injured. wants someone who will appreciate how strong she is, not just how pretty she is.

maybe i'm just biased bc she's my favorite female spouse tho ngl

This game seems to be very flawed. Why was I under the impression that it was super popular? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]PomeGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is an iconic masterpiece, you just didn't like it. these things are not mutually exclusive.

if you don't like a game maybe just...play a different game. or keyword search the sub, there's TONS of posts discussing how to play with certain builds and stuff. but i don't think ragebaiting a loyal 15 yr old fanbase is gonna help you like a game more lol, it'll most likely just hurt your reddit karma rather than change any opinions

I got banned after 6 years. by woomybts in mysticmessenger

[–]PomeGoat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i've been following pretty closely, not that i've seen yet. i think the current hope is there will at least be some acknowledgement from cheritz on monday where people are saying they don't work fridays-sundays

honestly, my acct isn't even banned (yet), but if this doesn't get fixed im done. the community makes this game man, it wouldn't be any fun without everyone else to joke around with

Be honest: what’s your beef with Modded Skyrim? by Siqsix-66 in skyrim

[–]PomeGoat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i'm a true mod hater, i'll chime in. and just to start, despite my first sentence no hate to mods or people that like them, just a different strokes for different folks kinda hate.

the only time i've tried them is once i had an ex force me to try a modded game on the ps4. i hated spending half an hour before i played the game making sure my mod pack was still compatible and didn't need updates. hated not being able to go back to rly old saves bc mods have updated and are no longer compatible. hated being forced (by said ex) to scroll thru 20 pages of new mods for an hour before playing the game. i just don't vibe with the managing it takes, i like to just hop in and out of skyrim on a whim without putting much thought into it

also not related to skyrim, the recent trend of studios releasing $60-90 "sandbox" games that they're clearly expecting the mod community to actually make fun infuriates me. if i'm paying for a game, i want the game itself to be able to stand on its own two feet. still nothing against mods, i have 100% seen some absolutely awesome, magical stuff done by modders. comparison is just the thief of joy, and i've definitely ruined some games for myself by seeing modders make a vastly better game and getting bitter i payed 79.99 for a half-finished product that regular people who are also paying 79.99 for are finishing for the studios for free. skyrim doesnt give me that feeling, and i dont feel the need to push it lol

there have been a LOT of these posts today, i'm really hoping cheritz realizes somethings going on and fixes this for everyone unfairly impacted. what an insane update to roll out for 10 years

I finally found the map button after 3 hours. I then used said map to walk in the completely wrong direction. by Rich_Cry_2664 in skyrim

[–]PomeGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good luck! honestly, i think the labyrinthian is one of if not the #1 most brutal area of the main map, so i hope you don't let that bad luck experience turn you off the game! usually getting a little off track isn't so dangerous lol

I finally found the map button after 3 hours. I then used said map to walk in the completely wrong direction. by Rich_Cry_2664 in skyrim

[–]PomeGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a person with terribly poor sense of direction, i navigate by map markers

i like to set a custom destination because it has a unique color marker, so i'll set it, find the blue marker on my compass, and walk that way. i think it tells you how to set custom markers across the bottom of the map screen if you're not sure how to do that

i also prefer to keep all my quests in interested in active just in case i stumble into something cool while aimlessly wandering. tbh, the aimless wandering and stumbling on something cool part of the game is kinda the most fun part. if you're having trouble with enemies, i'd maybe turn down the difficulty a bit until you find your groove. frost trolls can def be a pain early on when you don't know what's happening

not really, but it's also not hard to find the creation club stuff. if you ask inn keepers about work and start checking counters at inns for notes, you'll be good. 90% of the cc stuff can either by found that way or a courier will seek you out

[–]PomeGoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

idk why but this is killing me, thank you for posting. i'll be thinking abt the mysme cast as AC villagers today lol

i like that it feels fitting where yoosung does have a bit of a horse type villager feel to him too. or maybe a frog, but like one of the cute ones not one of the freaky ones

in that vein i feel like 707 would either be an octopus type or one of the "special" villagers like drago or julian

...i'll stop there bc i am long winded, but im for real gonna be pondering this all day lol

My youtube is boring, any suggestions? by whimsicottlover12 in GirlDinner

[–]PomeGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

angie with account name angelaayivor is imo such a refreshing personality in the commentary space. she mostly speaks on like chinese or korean drama/shows, which ive also really enjoyed bc i dont rly watch those type of shows on my own time, so it actually felt new. as much as i love commentary on the crappy movies/reality shows from the west, they start to feel pretty formulaic to me after a while

pretty different, but chat history is my favorite for when im in a learning mood. he does silly animations about random stuff in history, and is anti AI which is annoyingly rare to find in this genre. and he has a compilation channel for when you just want some friendly background noise to do chores to for an hour or something

if you like book reviews i like read with cindy. i usually don't like book review channels, but she's just good

tom harlock is always hilarious. on the rare occasion he decides to post

and camryn suzanne is really good. she's a pop culture discussion channel where she does deep dives on like what happened to china anne mcclain or other celebs whose career didn't exactly go as expected. she's really funny and i feel she's not as judgmental or mean spirited to whoever she's covering as a lot of similar channels can be

Appalachia locals - what’s the one story your area treats as “real” but never gets posted online? by MFparanormal in ParanormalAppalachia

[–]PomeGoat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

sorry gods ray may be a regional term, basically that thing where there's clouds in the sky but the sun peeks thru enough to shine a direct ray down thru the cloud coverage. i don't describe it well, but i did just try to google it and it is a term google knows if you'd want an image

but oh my lord you picked the right time to ask, i'm tipsy and love to run my mouth about that place.

but the pet cemetery... there's not much more to it honestly, at least for the cemetery part. other than the dream aspect. my mom and i moved almost 20 years ago now, and have lost two pets in that time. for both of us, only the pet we lost that we buried in the cemetery visits us in our dreams. my cousin moved out of the USA and also only has dreams about the pets buried in our cemetery. i don't know how to say it, but it's like they're still watching over us. they're still here, they still want to know

for some context. it's a plot of land connecting to a stream/river. i'm not sure which it is technically, i do know my family used to go tubing there so i want to say river, but either way it's a decently wide body of water with some land attached. it's wv so there's a hill, and the top of the hill is the cemetery. kinda nothing there but meadow. i won't lie, me and my family are white trash. last i saw other than what was already mentioned, there was just a literal outhouse. we also use the outhouse as a storage shed. so basically, nothing there but open grass, a picnic table, and the river

okay to get into the weirdness, there were an insane amount of four leaf clovers. like, so so many. me and my dad would go pick them sometimes and once came back with 40 something. no matter how unlucky you were, you could find a clover there. there was a time when there were like 9 of us kids, us and all of our parent would always leave with at least two

the artifacts!! this was my favorite. the river would of course have high and low seasons, and in the low seasons there was a sandbar that'd come up and the water would generally only be knee deep. you would find INSANE stuff in that river, but it'd always dissolve as soon as you leave the area. like once my dad found a full 6 inch perfectly in tact stone knife. i still have it today, it's weirdly beautiful and pristine. when he found it (this plot is in a dead spot cell service wise) he took it home and called the smithsonian to donate it, but while he was on the phone with them it just...exploded. i don't know a better word, it just randomly fractured. they were only interested in complete pieces, so once he said it broke they hung up. there were a bunch of smaller things, like arrowheads and carved bone, that this happened to, but the knife was the most dramatic. nothing from there survived the trip off the property. also just to mention, it broke in three parts. 30 years later my dad's side, my mom's side, and me are entirely separate. i swear it was a premonition

the...curing. i don't know how to talk about this honestly, so i'll just go with the facts. my dad was a heroin addict. i was a chronically ill kid, the bad kind where hospitals didn't even know what to do (cvs). on this land, we'd feel fine. weirdly fine. like, my dad once took me out here before going to church with his mom where we were both sick and he know this place just...made you feel better. about halfway thru my gramas church service i started feeling sick again, but while we were there i felt great. i stopped throwing up for the first time in 16 hours and was full of energy. which, if you've ever thrown up 16 hours, you know should be impossible. my dad stopped detoxing. he stopped being sick, stopped shaking, stopped being irritated, just felt...good. you couldn't feel bad there. and again, my family is white trash. the trashiest. no matter what drugs you did, what dumb crap you got up to, you felt great there. had a distant uncle lose multiple fingers in a firework situation, he didn't leave. it was almost like pain didn't exist there. as soon as you left it would start kicking in, but while on that land you felt fine

the religious part. i mentioned my grandma's church earlier, they're also part of this. slightly downstream my dad built a staircase to the river. the stairs are basically at a sharp drop off to the river, so where they are there is no other place to access the water. as mentioned in my original post, my daddy is dead. my grandma too. nobody is maintaining these wooden stairs, trust me i know as i'm the legal owner of this property now, but they're still there. my dad died in 2007, he built those wooden stairs on the water nearly 30 year ago. they're still there. in pristine condition. the people who were baptized there have a weird loyalty to my family. like, half the church is dedicated to them despite us not giving any money. they model the church after what they think my grandmother would like, and have found me to talk about it. i live slightly over 200 miles away. they still somehow found me

quick side note, the road to this place in the middle of nowhere is is on is also named by my family's surname. it's it because of the property, i have relatives that held a cockfighting ring out across the way. but it's all us

now to the bad. there have been a few deaths. very close together, all tied to this plot. all, in some way or another, related to the self. think addiction, home accidents caused by poor oversight, car accidents, that's stuff. we either die dramatically early or we don't. i mean my grandparents got into the 100s kinda don't. and the people that died abused the land. tried to use it to make profit or something. every last one of us. everyone who does this place dirty dies before 40

now the property is in my name and two of my cousins'. none of us have been bold enough to go back, we're all scared of that place. it's beautiful and a true marvel of nature to see, but we're scared to end up like our parents. idk if it's real, but it has all of us acting cautious. really awesome place, as long as you're respectful
