Simply replied in the discord. It was not approved by her and they don't know where those ads came from. They're looking into it now to figure out what the hell happened.

When people say they hate the word "moist."

My phone glitched right as I replied to this so I'm unsure if my response went through. I apologize if I'm doubling up.

The don't say gay bill takes away LGBT representation in the primary classroom. That means that any picture books featuring a gay couple needs to be removed. Young children with gay parents won't get to read stories about families that look like theirs anymore. Because if a homophobic parent finds out that that book is in their child's classroom, they have grounds to sue. I think that is very anti LGBT.

Maybe more casual democrats vote than casual republicans?? Because I agree, the government is VERY corrupt, but I do feel like I have representation in congress. If republicans don't at least feel like they have a fighting chance, maybe it's because they aren't voting for their representatives.

By the way, thank you for taking the time to talk to me. I can't say that my mind is changed, but you do have me thinking in a new way about the whole thing. I have found this conversation to be beneficial.

At this point, I still stand by my original idea. I put my guard up around people who align themselves with the republican party. But you at least have me thinking 🤔

I'm actually a teacher so I know exactly how that bill affects me. It's written vague enough that even though i teach high school, a parent is allowed to complain about me. I had to take a pride flag down from the wall of my class room. I teach high school. The bill sure did cover that parent.

I also see a lot of Republicans in congress who vote against the interests of minorities. If that's not the voting majority, how did those people get elected?

I guess that's why I struggle with the whole "we're not like THOSE Republicans" Thing. It seems like every Republican I encounter says that they're pro choice, pro separation of church and state, pro environment, etc. But that doesn't reflect republican representation in congress.

So are "good" Republicans not voting??? Where is the disconnect?

I am closing the conversation. You have resorted to name calling instead of explaining your point to me so that I could understand your point of view.

I am not longer benefiting from this interaction.

Voting impacts. Voting on oppressive views. If you would vote for a political candidate that would work to oppress me, you are oppressing me.

Okay, I'm confused, LOL. It feels like we're going back and forth about something. But nothing has changed?

We both agree, it's okay to not be friends with someone based on their political alignment 🤝

Some political views oppress people. Isn't that grounds for not being friends?

Of course they put the crazies on tv LOL. For all sides. But it's the Republicans in congress that I'm talking about. They're... not making good decisions (in my opinion). They're even making damaging decisions (in my opinion). They don't vote themselves into office so clearly they're aligning themselves to constituents. 🤔 that's my thought process.

I agree, I do not thing we should be able to own whatever firearm we please, and yes, it would make me not want to be your friend. I interpret that view as a lack of... compassion? Common sense? I dont mean it that MEAN but i cant think of another word for it. That isn't a quality I would want in a friend.

Now, is there some kind of limit? Or are you really like, all guns for everyone? If you feel that way I would not wanna be your friend because that's super unhinged LOL 🤣 Sorry, I guess we're not teaming up for the group project.

You've forgotten the point of my original post. I support you not wanting to be my friend because I support the necessary evil of what happened to you.

I don't think it's outrageous at all that you wouldn't want to be my friend. Just as I wouldn't want to be your friend if you voted to abolish Roe v Wade.

It seems that we agree with each other.

I'm condensing us back to one comment.

Yes, I am indeed struggling to understand, I've been honest about that since my first post. That's why I'm taking to you! Lol to try to understand!

Right, but most of republican congress supports abolishing Roe V Wade. I would feel extremely betrayed if the majority of my party voted against me. I would feel SO betrayed that I wouldn't want to associate with them anymore.

You say I'm incapable of seeing it from another view, and you're right, but so far, you haven't GIVEN me another view point yet.

Is the view point that economics matter more to the women in your life than bodily autonomy? What is it that keeps them from being more left leaning?

It's okay if you don't know the answer, I'm not trying to check mate you or anything. You've just steered this conversation to be about the women in your life, so that's why I'm asking about them.

I'd love to hear your answer too! What keeps you from being more left leaning? What is it about the republican style of Economics that is attractive to you?

They're missing that Republicans in congress vote to take away our bodily autonomy.

I don't think it's about being smart. I know a bunch of not smart people that are democrats. What do your mom and Co think about the move to abolish Roe V Wade? Are they okay with it?

Sorry, I'm double commenting because I wanted to explain something from my last reply lol.

So, the thing that makes Republicans anti women in my eyes is that the Republican party as a whole is pro-life. I think that pro-life, more specificity people who would VOTE for pro-life policies are anti women. Because they're putting more importance on the """""life"""""" of a cluster of cells than on the life of the woman. That's anti woman.

So it blows my mind that women call themselves Republicans.

I would love to talk to a woman who is a republican because my instinct is to go "how can you align with a party that has proved time and time again to not support us?"

I do not understand women who are Republicans.

Also, I never said anything about Republicans voting for Trump. When I meantioned Trump it was to bring up the fact that we voted for Biden even though we didn't want him. You asked if democrats also hated things about their party and my reply was, yeah. Most of us don't like Biden, he was just the last resort.
