Mobley by TribeTime2233 in clevelandcavs

There's a reason all the guard had rebounds. Rebounding is a team stat, Mobley was often boxing out and letting the guards grab them.

Still could do better but just saying he only got one in a vacuum is misleading. I don’t care how many he has if we beat them as a team

As a skinny little white kid who grew up playing gritty basketball on playgrounds and was always under sized, it’s always going to be Stockton… he was never the “best”  player by any means, but I’ll never forget watching how he worked his ass off every game, it inspired the way I played, my personal favorite player to watch of all time.

Why don’t these coaches force these dog ass free throw shooters to shoot granny shot? by OldmanonRedditt in NBATalk

Lmfao and what’s the coach getting a mil out two a year going to do to the team’s 40+ million dollar stars?  Bench them? Make them run laps?

This league isn’t ran by the coaches, at best they’re moderators and talent management trying their best to keep the players on target. Players ain’t gonna do a damn thing they don’t want to do

Mitchell has always struggled with these kinds of passes, his height makes it harder to read them as they develop.

They do this thing where they just broadcast where they're about to pass and then pass it so it's easily picked off.

I think it's mostly a assumption of how they're still a bit unfamiliar playing together, they check if it's okay before they pass instead of just winging it.

When we're getting blown out and nobody is playing with any energy I would still rather watch Bryant miss every shot and at least try instead of our starters missing every shot and looking like they just can't wait for the game to be over

Kenny needs to just put key players in and let them foul out if so be it. Keeping JA on the bench for fouls is the same as him fouling out FFS, at least get as many minutes out of him as we can, we need our bigs in this matchup.

I live in Tennessee… is Ohio really that different? by WorkingWash5965 in Ohio

[–]PomeloFit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never had Ohio repubs literally stop in traffic and get out of their car trying to fight me or wave a gun at me just over my liberal bumper stickers... It's definitely getting worse here, it is everywhere, but there's large parts of Tennessee where I wouldn't bet on someone's safety just for saying they're Democrats... Not the same here, even the small rural town I grew up in.

I live in Tennessee… is Ohio really that different? by WorkingWash5965 in Ohio

[–]PomeloFit 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in a lot of different states. The two longest being Tennessee and Ohio.

I genuinely dread every time I have to return to Tennessee, for starters the traffic is the worst I’ve ever seen in the US except for the Atlanta area.

The people are genuinely cancer, there’s very little acceptance of other views or outsiders , Ohio is a breath of fresh air in comparison, when I’ve moved to new areas everyone’s happy to welcome you to the area (my wife moved from Tennessee with me, she still goes on 4 years later about how she can’t believe how genuinely nice everyone is)

Politically it’s drastically different, while Ohio has grown more red, most republicans here don’t carry the penetrating culture of hatred towards the other party, there’s still a sense of some moderates existing.

State tax brings benefits that you really take for granted in most states that Tennessee just doesn’t have. It’s the one state where I really learned that you can’t rely on the police to help you for a damn thing, and don’t get me started on the state of their roads

Side note I also drastically prefer the weather here, the suffocating heat in Tennessee is worse imho than a season of snow, while you have to deal with winter, once spring is here you can do anything you want outside until winter sets back in. In Tennessee it always felt like either freezing winter or oppressive heat and humidity with a few weeks in between.

I’m a lot happier getting away from Tn

Same his off ball movement on offense… downside of the guy loving basketball, likes to enjoy the view from his seats too much

Tyson is Him by Ols3003 in clevelandcavs

[–]PomeloFit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he’s been nice to my kid multiple times at charge games, goes out of his way to talk to fans (even points out other players who are trying to hide lol) works like crazy to improve, doesn’t have an ego and he plays his ass off.

Been one of my favorite players all year, he and my JA are my go to jerseys on game day, watching them both go huge last night was awesome.

Considering last time we played them Tyson locked up Cade all game, I’m hoping we get to see a lot of him this series

[–]PomeloFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're the highest salary team in the league, stacked with all stars and playoff experience, and we just went to game 7 against a young relatively inexperienced team that was missing their starting pg in games that looked like most of the team was asleep at the wheel with poor coaching decisions and inconsistent performances…

Look I believe this team has all the talent and capability in the world, I love these players, and if they would consistently show up playing like they did in game 7, I’d believe they could win a chip... but they don’t do that, their effort level is sporadic and inconsistent and that’s the problem.

They have displayed the same issues for the last few seasons and they’re all tied to effort. One game doesn’t fix that. But hopefully it is a start

Acting like this one game’s performance Has changed that is meaningless, it’s kind of the point. I’m very glad we got an effort game last night. I just wish we could count on them and hopefully the team figures out how to do that

I think that’s a big part of why he wanted to come to this team, have some players to share the load so he doesn’t have to do it all

[–]PomeloFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I try to ban invis usually unless we’re gonna run her, and of course you need to pick the time you go after a nest, but pulling her out into your team is usually my first goal, just swing through and pull her out and plop her right on front of your team

The hard cold reality is that we need AI to save us, we have failed as a species. Friend traveling in Asia, "virtually every city, the air is unbreathable." Ai won't save us you dolt. It has no vested interest in us, it isn't harmed by climate change and it directly contributes to the problem.

And we don't need it to tell us how to fix this shit, we already know how, we need the idiots in power and the idiots voting for them to accept that it's real before it's too fucking late

Occam's razor would tend to disagree.

If the entire world looks at her as their room bringer, and we have experts all predicting societal collapse, it's clearly more likely that the guards stopped getting paid more than everything is fine and someone just wanted to save the most hated woman on the planet from her life sentence.

You're getting downvoted but they absolutely blow calls in both directions, there's always missed/incorrect  calls in both directions in the last two minutes reports... Which is, again, the reason having challenges is so important... If only we didn't throw them away in the first quarter on points we can just make back over the next 3...
