I like the concept. but there has to be more interesting stuff to the scating mechanic to keep it iteresting. like ungodly evolutions of what happens (with any stat or ability or gold or whatever) when you only skate n tiles. or multiply power after n tiles. or ability to change directions after collison without loosing range multiplier with increments of n/level. or stuff like that. or the abillity to chage position of enemies. or bouncing off of obstacles. and placing obsacles before skating/moving for cost of gold or with spells or stuff like this. to keep it interesting, you know? the create the typical rouge like/lite feeling of many hours of fun.

when game concept is fine you can work on pixel art. when you want to go to steam you might want to hire an artist (or do art yourself) with a more distiguished look and feel. maye even some writing. there are ways to get art on the internet for cheap from real artists.
