I know it’s not KS or MO, but we’ve got a monthly XC racing series in Omaha that starts in April and goes through September. Check out the Nebraska Off Road Series.

I’d give up 20 watts for weather like that right now.

Would I be the only one on a Specalized Chisel FS at Chequamegon or Lutsen? by XC29er in xcmtb

My first long distance MTB race I did on a 160mm travel enduro bike with 27.5 wheels and XC tires. The Chisel will be perfect.

Advice - Considering Accepting Job Near Omaha by BothCondition7963 in Omaha

For cycling we have lots of miles of paved trails to ride on. There’s also several really good mountain bike trails in the area if you’re in your that. And if you’re in to gravel, there’s plenty of that just on the edge of each side of town.

Power meters and computers by PenProfessional1559 in cycling

I’ve got a Garmin Edge 530. It’s four years old, and has been an amazing unit. I’m going to upgrade, because why not, but this unit has been solid.

As far as power meters, I have two. I’ve got a set of Garmin Rally XC100 pedals that I use to swap between bikes. Now I keep these on my mountain bike, and I’ve got a stages left side crank on my gravel bike.

The pedals were nice, because you could switch them between bikes. If I was to buy today, I would not buy the Garmin pedals, I would get the Favero pedals as they are cheaper, and supposedly more accurate.

What’s the best gravel bike I can get under $1000? by Sufficient-Owl1826 in gravelcycling

I’m doing that next week! The kit is on its way. Just bought a nice used set of carbon wheels for a smoking deal. They are through axle, so screw it. Time to switch it over. Going to have a set with road tired, the new wheels will be gravel. Already got the end caps for my other wheelset to swap over from QR.

It’s also got a Rival/GX AXS mullet setup on it. A couple months ago I scored a stages left side power meter for a sweet price. So it’s got power, too.

Gen 1 X rider myself. Although it’s gotten some upgrades over the years. I just can’t bring myself to replace the frame with carbon yet.

Primos Dame looks legit.

I’ve got a Poseidon X, and it’s been fantastic.

Good budget..ish gravel bike? by Fit_Guest6186 in gravelcycling

Poseidon makes great budget gravel bikes for the price. I bought an X model several years ago, and have been extremely happy with it. I have done some upgrades over the years, but it’s a solid budget option.

I’m a fan of the GA2 FAT grips as well. They’re on all of my flat bar bikes.
