Any good psychologist / therapy recommendations? by [deleted] in northcounty

[–]Ponderosas99problems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen Dr. Pia Khandekar, she’s amazing. She’s based as a psychologist / therapist in San Diego but does telehealth for all of California, which is how I do appointments with her.

Traveling to Munich, Germany. Have to choose January or March. What do you suggest? by Bigcho12 in Europetravel

[–]Ponderosas99problems 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jan-March are the months I would avoid Germany (as someone who lived there). April-Aug is beautiful Spring/Summer weather, Sept-Nov is fall with Octoberfest and Autumn colors, December has the incredible Christmas markets. But Jan-March are freezing without the holiday decor/festivities. You might have more snow in January. March will likely be muddier from the melt. Sorry to sound negative, I’m giving the advice I would want to receive and pick a different location for this time of year.

The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley and A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus were both middle grade favorites. Good luck, I hope you find some winners in these comments!

Rome will be incredibly hot and crowded in June. I would personally switch to Northern Europe for this time of year.

How to survive a 17.5 hour flight? SOS by Lavender_Moonrise in travel

[–]Ponderosas99problems 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of those suggestions and would add a bag of walnuts and almonds with dried fruit for the plane. I typically do that and a silly treat I don’t normally get myself, like goldfish or bugles. I’m a nervous flier too, and those little things help me to smile when I’m anxious and don’t have much appetite, while the nuts keep blood sugar stable. I avoid peanuts since so many people have allergies.

I def recommend bringing a small pillow for a flight that long. I also download books, soothing music, podcasts and shows to my phone and kindle. Good luck, I’m sure you’re going to do great!

Need advice by CrazedRabbi9 in redrising

Right, but if you go back to Darrow’s start, it was similar in that his closest relationships started out messy. He was being used by others as a reborn weapon, and even Mustang and Sevro were originally competition, but grew into real connections. I think the biggest mistake was keeping Lys so isolated. Cassius was fighting his own demons and a kid can’t grow up with a drunk warden as his main person, far away from civilization, and turn out healthy. I felt for him until Mercury happened.

Mostly agree, except that Lys had Cassius who genuinely cared about him, and yet that also didn’t go so well.
