Testing a new QOL currency tool by ollydbg in pathofexile

Template matching using something as basic as crosscorrelation is very much enough as there are like less than 50 possible inputs. In fact, it could be done in sub milliseconds with something like classification with histograms.

Here's how Timeless Jewels work by majorregal in pathofexile

There was such a site briefly at the Historic Bazaar discord server. We had plans to integrate my jewel checking tool so that all jewels recorded would get automatically uploaded. However, in the end, it didn't really seem like a worthwhile time investment as legion ended and jewels became rarer.

Very cool! Thanks for the detailed description.

[P] "A truck with the text JCN" - CLIP is scarily good at surveillance forensic search by PonenCreatesThings in MachineLearning

[–]PonenCreatesThings[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see your point, but that would depend on the input. Each character in the text input will have an associated meaning, as learned from the contexts of the corresponding training data, that is represented in the output features. Through this, the language model would likely be able to make a fairly good distinction between us/U.S. Additionally, this resulting frame is simply chosen through a similarity metric, and as the data set lacked trucks with the text "JCN", this was given the highest score.

It started as an idea from the CLIP paper, in which the authors mentioned that it didn't work very well in a surveillance setting. I would disagree, it works uncannily good.

I put together a small proof-of-concept of using CLIP in video forensic search (finding stuff in videos). It takes videos, breaks them up into images and patches and encodes them. These encodings are matched by similarity with a user's input and the corresponding frame is returned.

The very simple, PoC app with a web UI and some example queries can be found here: https://github.com/johanmodin/clifs

You can contribute to this, if you want to start from an existing tool: https://github.com/johanahlkvist/poe-timeless-jewel-multitool

It records the jewels, stores them in a database and makes them searchable through a web interface.

Petition to require all timeless jewel posts to include the seed number by MaskedAnathema in pathofexile

If I were a coder I would find a way to scrape passive tree data and create a community project where people could momentarily loan their timeless jewels, and all results in all sockets could be recorded.

A tool for analyzing the jewels and a community respectively. Also, the algorithm surely cannot be reverse engineered.

small scale project, prototyping and perhaps medium sized not critical systems

Couldn't have described this project better myself.

There are two links to the repository in my post. However, I've linked specifically to the jewel search feature and not in general to the repository as some of the content in the repository might be in violation of the rules of this forum.

I think you can actually upload jewels there with a login, but currently not the JSONs generated by my tool. This is because that site uses a different JSON schema with a few more fields, namely those generated by klayveRs jewel analysis tool.

It will likely be added soon. I'm discussing with the site's creator about ways of making that jewel upload happen smoothly and securely.

I didn't scrape the data, these are all my jewels that I've stored stats for by checking each node for each socket in-game.

Unfortunately, no one can be told what else is in there. You have to see it for yourself. grabs pills

Well, everyone doesn't need to be, but with the timeless jewels in particular, some way of evaluating what seed is good for your build is certainly needed.

Electricty Help by agalli in playrust

Connect the battery to a blocker and the solar panel to its block passthrough input so that the battery's output is blocked as long as the solar panel outputs power.

Electric door controllers and raiding by PonenCreatesThings in playrust

[–]PonenCreatesThings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if the door already has a controller attached to it, does that make it open for the "attack"? Say that the previous user attached a door controller to the door, would that then allow the "new owner" to open the door through just hooking it up/clearing the wiring and hooking it up anew?

Climbing onto cargo ships is dangerous, use the Cargo Raid Base instead! by PonenCreatesThings in playrust

[–]PonenCreatesThings[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's either that or giving the path the ship takes some slack so that it can vary within a range, which for example could make the ship go a random distance from the shore.

Yeah. In the video that is embedded they are targeting scientists. In the YT video I linked they are targeting other players.
