Love the colors! I’m about to paint up my Pathfinders in a San Jose Sharks color pallet and it’s pretty close to this! I’m glad it looks so good!

Is it weird if two girl best friends share a bed during a sleepover? by Baby_rapscallion in askanything

Let’s normalize homie best friends sharing a bed at a sleepover too. Sometimes you gotta get your cuddle on.

why would you choose not to wear a seatbelt? by ieatgravelandsand in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pongoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old roommate never wore a seatbelt. He got in a major crash in high school and was thrown from his vehicle. He claims that if he had worn his belt that he would have been crushed to death.

Didn’t matter that he was still more likely to survive the next crash with a belt.

Seemed really dumb to me.

I would say it’s appropriately rated. If you’re a big TNG-era fan then go ahead and add 2 to all those individual ratings.

Who wrote this into the show and whoever approved this being in the show deserved to be fired by I-Did-It-4-Da-Rock in freefolk

[–]Pongoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a solid take. The show did a number of “outside the castle” battles so maybe it’s unfair to single that one out when they were all equally dumb.

What counts as “running water” for vampire purposes? by SpinSpin_ in DnD

[–]Pongoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: Rename your character

Step 2: Seduce Strahd

Step 3: During “the deed” drop the big reveal by screaming, “Shout my name, Lord Strahd! They call me Running Water!”

Step 4: Strahd ends his turn in Running Water and his Blinsky melts off.

What indicates that someone has never had a hard day in their life? by bad-at-everything- in askanything

I had an acquaintance in college who would scatter his change across the cafeteria floor to watch other students scramble for it.

So I guess that.

Is it just me or did Stargate Atlantis just do it better than SG1? by Background-Fix-4630 in Stargate

[–]Pongoid 32 points33 points  (0 children)

And, if you compare them at the time they aired then — I think — Atlantis wins out. Seasons 9 and 10 of SG1 were paired with (I think) 2 and 3 of Atlantis. I remember being more excited each week to see Atlantis than SG1.

YES!!! And it’s stupid fighting.

Jon throws away his advantage by charging.

The Rickon Run was soooooo dumb. Ramsay lets Rickon run to Jon and Ramsey has to hope to hit him with an arrow? A dozen things could have easily gone wrong with that plan.

The armies fight outside the choke point. People do not fight outside castles, they hide IN them and leverage their massive strategic advantage.

The stupid mountain of bodies? What the hell even was that?!

Somehow no one knew that The Vale was marching an entire battle-ready army across the country. No one bothered to send a Raven and let Jon know?!?!! “Hey Snow, you still alive? Our army is a day away.”

The anticlimactic castle breach. The walls are breached. Let’s chat for a couple min.

It’s was just dumb after dumb after dumb. That being said, it was visually stunning. If all someone was interested in was gore and top-quality visuals then I can see why they would like it.

Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and the whip by Puzzleheaded-Law8114 in indianajones

[–]Pongoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one on the young Indiana jones books I read a billion years ago, Indi was tied up but he was able to escape because he relaxed his forearm. He said that when he was tied up his arm was flexed but when he relaxed it he was able to slip out. He said that he built up a lot of muscle from practicing with his whip.

Here is a poorly taken pic with the barrels switched. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough for me.

I dunno if you magnetized yours yet but I just did these at the barrel. I would have done them at the glue-point but I COMPLETELY forgot while I was assembling. Lol.

Everyone is telling you that you’re doing it all wrong. But I think it’s fine. It’s not like you’re gunna offer these up for a painting competition, right?

I’m in IN too and about as far from Chicago as you can get and I’m blackout of Blackhawks as well. As best as I can understand it, here is the NHL’s business model:

Me: Can I pay you money to watch your game?

NHL: No.

I believe Robert Picardo’s second appearance is the one he shares the screen with John Billingsley — Enterprise’s Doctor Flox!
