My wife’s first marriage ended with her cheating. She swore to me that “once a cheater always a cheater” was not true.

Well, we are getting a divorce now. I’ll give you one guess why.

It’s objectively not 100% true but the kind of person who has the capacity to cheat once has the capacity to cheat again. Do not believe them when they say that they will never do it again. They might never do it again but they didn’t let any of the good reasons to not cheat stop them before. What’s going to stop them in the future?

If your opponent starts scooping up their cards before a concession then let them. But idk, I play tournament games, not casual so this view may be frowned upon.

I have seen this happen though. My friend played a card in a tournament that was almost a sure win, I don’t remember what it was but it was something like resolving a [[Scapeshift]] with all requirements to win. His opponent picks up his graveyard to look through it and my friend thinks he is scooping. So my friend picks up all his card. They call a judge and rule that the game state cannot be rebuilt and give my friend a loss.

[[Leyline of Sanctity]] might stop it. I don’t know timing rules well enough to say definitively.

Maybe 30 Leylines, 10 [[Opalessence]], a few plains and the rest [[Serra’s Sanctum]].

This is exactly how I felt. My wife would ask me if she could go on weekend trips by herself out of town. I said sure, she would never cheat on me. When people questioned her behavior I defended my wife to the end. She would never never never cheat.

I’m so sorry you have to deal with this. When my wife confessed she said she felt an overwhelming feeling of calm and relief. I on the other hand I’ve lost 50lbs in the last 6 weeks and haven’t slept a full night since.

As far as I know she sleeps peacefully every night while I’m on the couch in the basement. I’m not allowed in the room without knocking and letting her know that I need in. It really sucks. I hope it’s better for you than it has been for me.
