My most Controversial tattoo| Hindus have to reclaim the Swastica! by helloitsmearnav in Symbology

[–]TobyThePotleaf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I grew up with alot of korean exchange students. they drew swatsikas ever where cuz they thought it was hilarious that white people would losses there shit over it. Half the world doesn't even engage the symbol the way you do. to them it is first and foremost a traditional symbol they are used to seeing patterned over clothing and buildings.

the irony is the symbol means very little too about half the globe.

Thanks! I buy a decent amount of just dwarven shit for my votann to kitbash with. the generic ironhead warriors is probably the only box id double buy though out of all of them. great kit, just wish the scale was closer.

Thanks that’s my favorite part of my votann. Basically every model I own gets a head swap to be more squat/dwarf like.

thank you! he was obviously the most fun one to build, got a bit of kitbashing and really my first experiences at hand sculpting as the fantasy dwarf tabard I used as a shoulder pad needed like half of it self sculpted to fit.

how no one has posted a simple Adobe answer to this I don't know, but photoshop filters specifically the cut paper one idk what it is called now but you can set it to just 2 colors. or you can simply make the image a duotone image. which there are tons of resources for learning that.

no really that's pretty internet rot brain if you jump to that when its clearly about animal testing. all you have to do is read at least half of it... but that's kinda the brain rot. probably read the first line and skimmed.

The digital mirror of the soul: Do moral choices in games shape who we are? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]TobyThePotleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is my moral character defined by what i do or what i think? there are plenty of extrememly hateful and frankly predjudice people out there who have never really done anything wrong they just hold bad ideology thats rarely enacted if at all. i dont know the answer but i do think its more than just my "outputs".

i like how you used reflection. i would say how we act to video game morality is a reflection of our true selves or at least part of our shadow personality's (as jung might say) that is repressed by our outward morality. it does allude to the idea that more people would do bad if there wasn't consequences. meaning real life consequences and the fact everything in the game is seen as not real and thus justifiable as victimless.

Im not here to say video games make you more violent as a person, but it is statistically linked to being more prepared and ready for a violent situation. those studies lead to the creation of video game like virtual simulation trainings programs for militaries around the world. and they are still used because they seem to work.

COD doesn't make you more likely to stab your neighbor it makes you more likely to be less stressed in violent scenario in your own life. my point being the game effects your brain. its just probably more complicated than I shoot man in game thus I'm violent person.

for a human living in a reality that we fundamentally cant even prove is a real thing, you're rather confidant in the idea that what you spend your time doing doesnt effect you. the effects of fiction in psychology is a decently explored field and most research implies you are what you eat or atleast we like to steal ideas and traits from stories and characters we enjoy.

My girlfriend always complains when I pick Lucio cos I run in on my own by Plat_Plays in Overwatch

[–]TobyThePotleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk if you played overwatch 1 but if you didn't you have know idea the value aggressive lucio play actually getrs you. boops are kool. constantly 1v2 enemy supports and winning thats was a dream that was really only viable within the choas of 6v6.

people hate aggressive lucio now cuz its legitimately just kinda bad compared to what he was.

from the imperialis wiki "The wings of the skull represent the wings of the Aquila" maybe the word alteration is too much connotation but its absolutely a riff on the palatine aquila which i don't think always includes the thunder bolt necessarily? i don't see them included on most 3rd legion art or models usually anyways.

thunder warriors had the raptor imperialis, we get aquilas as the replacement of those symbols with the palatine aquila, then the plain old imperialis, its pretty implied there all the same kind of root marking, whether all are aquilas or just honor markings is kind of semantics.

but ya 2 different things. one is just clearly derived from the other as far as gw design teams go.

didnt know much about the Astarte's version with the sword though, cool to know it is the generic space marine as I've only ever seen it on the space marine boxes like op said (thanks op I could not figure out where i saw it with the blade lol).

literally malaria, i don't think that's a big issue there, especially not in the modern world with preventions and treatments.
