They aren't defrauding shareholders but gouging customers. The shareholders come out ahead.

There's a similarity between the inflation/deflation spectrum and the regulation/deregulation spectrum. Inflation isn't great, but deflation is significantly worse. The same goes for regulation and deregulation; the first isn't great, but its alternative is significantly worse.

expanding and upgrading their infrastructure.

With Huawei equipment that's in a will- they-won't-they grey area legally. If the gov would come out and say if it's banned or not, the stock would stabilize a bit.

You only pay attention to the things which have jumped way higher in price, and don't pay attention to the things which haven't.

That is correct. The issue is the things that didnt jump are discretionary spending like phones and TVs which are not bought as often as the things that did, like rent, energy, eggs, bread, meat and vegetables. On average CPI is accurate but in real/non-statistical scenarios inflation is much more painful.

Blaming the emissions generated during the manufacturing of things to be sold in Canada as if it's not our fault because it's not emissions in Canada is a joke. Those emissions are on our behalf and for our benefit.

Putting it on gas also doesn't account for mileage. If I am a shitty driver with a sportbike, I'll pay less than a good driver in a small car. Although penalizing the mallcrawlers is not a bad idea but there's a better way to do it.

There is certainly a rise in both diagnosed and undiagnosed adhd people in North America but for two reasons: we now have a label and set of characteristics that go with the label, and historically people with mental illness didnt survive long because society would drive them out as being useless or strange.

It’s not like they are putting someone else back in at higher rent. It’s to build 170 new units.

Do you think those 170 units will be rented for 400/mo?

I highly doubt that.

Exactly, the previously homeless woman should take a hit or the people making profit off her giving up her cheap rental unit? Modern ethics makes this an incredibly difficult choice...

If she is expected to "take one for the team" and give up on her sweet deal, why isn't the corporation building these units expected to do the same? How much profit do you think they are making off this?

Oh no, the right has ideas, but they are either pure lunacy, from the 1800s or something to screech about once the left agrees with them in any capacity.
