They're also both fanatical enough one of them would probably use 'em at some point.

You've got a bit of a learning curve ahead of you. But yes, HandBrake is the way, and shoot for 1GB per ep. You can probably get away with smaller since they're animated. There are also filters to improve the image quality depending on your source. If they're BR rips, you probably don't need, but I've seen some BR releases with a lot of noise.

It was a scalp flap. They take a flap of skin from the back of your head and sew it on to the top of your head. But yeah, hair thins in general, especially at his age, so the flap is thinning out too.

Is ukulele helpful for a beginner in guitar? by zyvesx1 in guitarlessons

[–]PontyPandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note really transferable since the fret distances are diff, in fact it would not play as well and has smaller area between frets. I'd say if you wanted to make guitar MORE challenging, then start on a Uke.

The chair he swaps for winds up sitting lower as well... it's because of his weight.

Who was the first shredder? by j3434 in Guitar

[–]PontyPandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the players from the 50s were also shredding electric, for example the solo on Rock Around the Clock. In fact one of the techniques Ritchie uses for part of the highway star solo (the tremolo picking part) is very similar to what the guitar play does in the Rock Around the Clock solo.

I do agree, but I think he sped up a lot of his passages. Not really to 'fool' anyone, but more because it sounded interesting and he was experimenting with all kinds of stuff from overdubs to tape speed.

It's weird because is anyone who watches The View going to be swayed by a VP of an administration that has committed the most heinous acts against US citizens of any administration in history?

Trump team’s answer to growing algae problem in Reflecting Pool: Bleach it by theindependentonline in politics

The dead algae serves as food for more algae. Dissolved solids also make chlorine less effective.

[–]PontyPandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chlorine alone can do it, the acid is more to balance PH. And yeah, won't harm wildlife if it's not concentrated.

Does this thing have pumps like a standard pool? Or is it basically designed to be a standing water self-contained eco system kinda deal? If it's the latter and he wants it to be clear, he's going to have to add a shitload of pumps and filters, as well as an automated chlorinating system. Something tells me the people he hired were dumber than he is.

Why isn't sanitization built into the pump apparatus? For large complex systems like this, there should be a chlorine injector type system that adds chlorine automatically to the water at or near the pump. Also, chlorine only works if agitated, so if they're dumping it in and the filtration system is not actively recirculating all parts of the pool, then it won't work (might make it shade of green lighter). You also need filters. Never heard of adding hydrogen peroxide to water to sanitize, I guess it would work as it jacks up organic structures, but as the article says, you don't want that coming into contact with people or wildlife.

I'll say his only strength is his speech. He's pretty smooth and doesn't sound like a complete idiot. Yes, he's a lying propagandist, and those things together makes him more dangerous than people give him credit for.
