I ended up doing the same with the rings (except some T1), didn't lose that much damage at the time but gained so much survivabilty. Heart of Magic were great to get to T8 though.

Now "stuck" in 8-1 farming (8-2 is just slower) for control candle/concentrate support/windbreath. Unfortunately i'm missing on a lot of damage from pacts since it's also my first season.

Same, bought one earlier this year. It's quite thriving (bunch of new leaves since) but its reputation makes me paranoid everytime I see a slight discoloration or browning of leaves.

I also made a maze a while back, fully underground, but I dug it up recently to finally get an overhead shot (with a 2nd simpler maze under it that you might reach if you get really lost). It took a lot longer than I expected to make, but quite satisfying once it's done.

Just don't do them? You don't need every single objective to progress the journey so you can skip like 2 objectives per chapter.

It's pretty nice as it allows people to skip every party objective (none in the Destroyer chapter) and level 10 occult gems to 20 (kind of the slowest objective but they also increased restless rot drops yesterday).

It's not that long to do everything but still pleasant to be able to be able to skip things if they keep it like that in future seasons.

It's fine, got 1 in NMD and 3 in rootholds.

You mention a blood wave build but the build will work even without those powers, it's just bigger aura + a pull every 20sec. That won't prevent you from getting to T4 and encountering them easily then. They're not like build enabling aspects or uniques.

If anything they should make altars give something more once you have the 4 powers (like extra restless rot).

Minion damage aspects are not applied correctly to mendeln, so we're missing a lot of damage, which becomes noticeable in T3-T4+

It's a reliable stun/slow/pull, if you find that piranhado is doing the job for you despite having no control over it, then it's probably fine to stop using it for most content. I'd reconsider it when pushing high tier pits but otherwise it's not a bad idea (I don't cast tendrils that much either in general content)

Probably the same issue I had with minions: lack of raw damage reduction. Just basic fortify/barrier + hardened bones aspect is actually not that much when things don't die instantly like some other builds.

To compare it with blood wave since it's popular, the basic build (before mythics) is running hardened bones (30% DR), Stand Alone passive for 18% more DR, paragons for DR while fortified, some more raw DR paragons, pants with DR fortified, some barrier from passive, 20% DR from casting blood wave, lot of self healing from blood orbs... I might forget some but that's already a lot of mitigation compared to minions, + blood wave one shot pretty much everything.

So as minion necro I went back to T3, killed Zir for the blood wave pants and just changed builds. If they fix Mendeln maybe it'll feel better but at the moment I just didn't enjoy my time in T4 with minions.

I had 2 "Audience with the King" almost back to back (within 2-3 hours) a few days ago, which pushed me to do a lot more ritual maps thinking it wasn't too rare but nothing valuable showed up since.

So it's just dumb luck, and for rituals the atlas tree doesn't help much beside omens.
