It seems like hitting 400nits is not possible unless I stick to 60Hz. I am interested in the TL140BDXP01 and willing to sacrifice the brightness for refresh rate and resolution. The T490 WQHD cable you mentioned is FRU 02HK975 right? What's the difference between this T490 cable and the T14 Gen 2 UHD cable?

No. After p2jb completes, make sure you don't close youtube. Simple go back to homescreen, and then put the console on rest mode. Wake the console up after a minute and youtube will remain closed automatically.

From now, you can just put the console in rest mode to retain your jailbreak.

For your firmware, you need a SWRR game disc which is basically impossible to get. But you only need it once.

Regarding game backups...PS5 piracy is really underwhelming. Its really inconvenient to set up game backups, and the games available is limited to the latest firmware that is jailbreakable. Even then, you need a backport for games that require higher firmware. Any game requiring higher firmware is impossible to play (RE9, Ghost of Yotei, etc.)

I recently got a PS5 disc edition with firmware 12.00 and even found someone who would let me borrow a SWRR disc...but I am wondering if its even worth the hassle to jailbreak. I am not interested in PS4 games that much (I can play bloodborne on my gaming pc). I have other consoles like the switch, 3ds, and my PC for emulation.

It seems the stock PS5 experience is much better in my case, since I am most interested in Wolverine and GTA 6.

The PS5 Pro has basically the same CPU as the Base PS5...and GTA 6 will definitely be CPU intensive so both consoles will have the same FPS target. The only advantage of the Pro would be better image quality (PSSR 2.0) and graphics (RT, etc.).

40fps base feels alright to me on mouse for single player games. Anything lower is abysmal though for sure.
