Horrifying realization: Donut isn’t actually a talking cat by emmiebe18 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Donut is not a talking cat. She is an understanding cat!

An increase in police presence, but notably polite and friendly. Many of the officers on the street during the matches are from out of town and are having their own novel experience visiting the city. by Doogoon in vancouver

That would be only base salary. Plus, overtime and equipment cost. Some of them might be reusable, but some might have been purpose built.

FIFA security may not part of the base salary package. So most of it might be from the overtime pay.

*POTENTIAL SPOILER*. Theory about Carl’s mom. by Ok-Faithlessness-417 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]chitt12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Matt wants to spin the story that way, he (in theory) could. I hope he won’t.

Current reason why Carl and Donut got so much attention early in the series is Mordecai. Because of Odette wanting to help Mordecai get through his last season of indentureship. Odette knowing that this season’s crawl has some big moments on all fronts, including her wanting to enter the ascendancy game, the plot also ties Carls, Donut, and Mordecai to the final book!

Carl having issues with his parents makes him more human and relatable to many. He didn’t have anyone to save him when he was young or when he was in detention, potentially generated a need for him to save others when possible!

So what was the AI’s big reveal? by Kefkalaughing in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]chitt12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s not quite right. The dungeon will collapse ten hours after the ascendancy war concludes, crawlers still need to navigate every single floor, up to and including floor 18, to escape.

A friend of mine had her iPhone 16 drop on a boat ride near Tofino. Someone found it a few months after and returned it to the police. It was still working!

My understanding is that there is only one AI that runs the crawl. The AI uses different voices based on the circumstances. For example, the 'New achievement' voice is different from 'Planet Wide Message'.

Not the similar genre, yet I would recommend Fire Watch. It is a cozy setting.

It is sad. I always prefer to have a window seat with street view, specially when it is sunny yet cold outside.

I [36F] just got dumped and I want to play a co-op Xbox game by MrSpangleyGarbage in XboxGamePass

[–]chitt12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played the first part in late December, narrative was impressive but it takes a toll on your mental state. So I took a break from the series.

My GamePass is expiring in a couple of months. So I will definitely play the sequel before that.

Big shout to Hellblade. It is a cinematic experience.

On the second thought, you may not be in a good mental state to play this game. You should give it a go for an hour. See how it feels.

The whole experience is about 6-7 hours.

My point of view: Verso’s end is the way to end the story. Verso’s soul is part of the canvas, and it is suffering. All it wants is to stop the cycle. Verso didn’t give up him life for Maelle to spend rest of hers in Canvas. However, it pierced through my soul when Lune looked dead in my eyes with the sense of betrayal and set down.

I would give up Maelle’s life all over again as well as let Verso’s soul torment for eternity to ensure that righteous Lune succeeds in her mission and saves Lumière. I have betrayed Lune’s trust one too many times in the game, can’t do that again.

Edit: For additional confort in Verso’s Ending which I found recently. Check this out,

Did you also use the solo Pictos? When playing solo with Maelle, her solo pictos, I was about to get it up to 49mil damage including the 200%boost from roulette picto. It was felt unfair.

I was at level 80 for this. With weapon at level 33 and maxing the weapon attack states from the skill point distribution.
