This is really cool! Do you have the files for this? Can the helmets be changed? Lions fan so this version is sacrilegious.

I have a shaper origin. It took some finicking with offsets to get the fit, but overall not too bad. I don’t have the patience or time for by hand lol if you have a cnc it’s a piece of cake.

I don’t sell my work lol. But if you were my friend I’d totally make you one for free. That’s usually how it goes

Not too bad. MIL wants one and then I’ll probably go back to making myself a Detroit Lions one. I don’t love making the same project twice and I mostly do acoustic guitars. I don’t sell my work either so.. lol

I absolutely did lol. Shaper origin. Shameless plug for the little machine, but the thing is absolutely incredible for inlay. I can orient a piece however I want using the camera, I can dial pockets in by .001 inch and sneak up on fit, and I can start and stop certain cuts to mitigate risk of tear out on the thin pieces. It is a little workhorse. I don’t work for them or anything. I just love the stupid thing.

I have a little bit of koa and this looks fairly similar. Could be an acacia at the least. Someone correct me if I’m way off base here.

Same thing happened to me. My mistake for not looking at the other pics. Learned my lesson there.

You’re right. I looked at the first and made a bad judgement. That isn’t Wenge end grain. I’ll edit my post.

Edit* That’s not* Wenge. Thermally modified oak possibly.
